Do I really need "c" tires?

We have air guns here at the office that shoot 3" wood screws. Best of both worlds, you get the speed of air nailing and security of an actual screw. No clue what those guys cost or require as far as air goes (we have a building network for compressed air in the factory area... so obviously it's a big damn system).

The problem I'm looking at is that I don't see any finish nails with a decent head on them. For fencing you need something to hold up against the wind and rain. Wood gets wet and without a nail head the wood pulls right through.

Anyone seen finish nails with a decent head? Roofing nails do, but they're just too damn big.

I think that I'm going to swap out the 30s on the Assaults for some 38s for a gravel ride with RPK next weekend. Hopefully the Spec Air Blaster works okay. Also, when it comes to swapping out tubeless tires, is there a rule of thumb on whether or not to reuse the sealant?

I don't reuse the sealant. But, it shouldn't hurt to reuse it.

You're worth it.

Hey all, I'm alive and somewhat well. I've had a rough couple of years due to a nasty motorcycle wreck. I've had four operations since, first an ankle scope, then two more knee scopes, followed by another ankle / knee procedure called the OATS procedure. For the last one they removed bone and cartilage from my knee and put it in my ankle. I finally got off of the crutches about five days ago after a little more than seven weeks. I've still got the air cast / boot for another five weeks. It's sucked and I have gained tons of weight.

My end goal is to be able to get back on a bicycle but at this point I'm really not sure if it is going to happen.

To pass the time I have been competing in car audio (sound quality, not bass) and managed to win a few world championships last year. I'm about to tear everything out of my vehicle and start over on that. It's a fun hobby and it gets me off of the couch. I've met a lot of really good people.

Hope you get back to it soon. Crash was tough to watch. Get well!

No.

Today I turn onto a four-lane street and discover it's going to be repaved. Odd, because it's in good condition compared to other roads--but I digress.

So they ran that stupid groover machine over the right side of the road. Fortunately there's a parallel MUP along the road (where I had a flyby the other day) so I jumped over to it.

I've been waiting half the day for you to post this here. Now my snarky comment is forgotten.

What happened to your skill in riding across the land and climbing over logs?

This is a great chance to issue your first infraction as a mod.

Our tandem ride today was the ride from Hades for me. First, my legs felt swollen and sore and then my nose and eyes started watering. Must be a grass in Alabama that I'm not used to. Then 20 miles in, my left shoulder joint and scapula start aching, probably from breaking it last July 31st. Had to stop twice in the last 10 miles to try and stretch and relieve the pain.

Funny thing is, we were worried about my wife having pain and she's yelling at me the last 10 miles to suck it up.

Good news is no rain for us but others were not so lucky.

Extra kudos to mrs trainsnorter for the yelling.

I'm hoping this was followed with a "buttercup" and a smack on the ass! :)

Dan333SP 04-21-17 01:47 PM

If the stoker on a tandem is pushing way more watts than the "steerer" or whatever they call it, should they yell "on your left"?

Weenies. I seated the bead on my 3" mtb tires with a floor pump.
