Sad news. Remember the patient who went to Italy 2 years ago and gave me a piece of the banner from the Giro and went again last year and gave me a Giro jersey? He just passed away. He was one of my favorite patients.

Does it very often happen that a patient who appears to be in good health unexpectedly/rapidly dies?

Was she that fast? AG is out on the Queen K now, so back at the house for food and water and shower and sunscreen. Her family swung by the Verizon store to replace her sister’s phone, which was dropped and died.

Got a couple of good panning shots.

What is ijen's last name?

Looks like she's well into the ride.

How's the wind today?

Almost got my ass bit again on this country 50 miler. What is the best mace for dogs? I'm done with this whole cat mouse game, I'm going to end up spraying 2 dogs per ride, ridiculous.

There is a thread over in General right now. I haven't read it.

But you don't do sunscreen.

BillyD Syracuse beat Clemson last night. They might not be the right color orange but they didn't lose to South Carolina today 15-9.:(

Not often. Sometimes a serious diagnosis comes suddenly though.

I can't tell you for sure, but the common 3.3 mm size used in the USA and Europe is now ALMOST universal. Goes with the BLACK Park spoke wrench. If the nipples are DT or Sapim, they are almost surely that standard size. Maybe some variation in Japan, but I have had green and red wrenches for 35 years and never used them.

I occasionally use the red one.

Looks like AG is nearly done with the bike.

Kudos are deserved.

She's closing in on Jen Keith, who was well ahead of her at the start of the bike.

Busy day today. Worked the morning. Snuck out for a 2 hour solo ride. Then Mrs datlas and I drove to Philly, we did a little bit of walking around and had our anniversary dinner. She had trout, I had pan seared gnocchi. It was excellent.

That's weird about the wrench colors but good to know about the sapim and DT Swiss nipples. I guess I'll order some.

This one isn't color coded.

In other news, Reynolds has been making carbon stuff for a long time.

The guy that owns the shop, where I work P/T, worked at Reynolds BITD.
