A teammate rolls these and is very happy. They aren't 25 wide, and don't have the Rail shape that really does help in crosswinds, but he's happy as a little clam. Like sbxx says, Performance Reynolds or Excel would be a better choice, but understand on the MOF, as well.

Oh, wait. This was the team your company sponsored?

I still find it strange, but folks say I am too, so there's that.

Yup. They have Assault/Strike combo that is close to budget.

Winter came to soon. I need to compress lawn care into a day because the sprinklers are getting blown out tomorrow.

I like that Attack demo set.

I know you were wondering

Back in June I had an issue with my dehumidifier. I had to replace one that I bought in about 2015 that replaced one bought in 2012 that was replacing one bought in 1994. The one I bought in June died and was replaced two weeks ago. To summarize:

1994 - 2012
2012 - 2015
2015 - 2017
2017 - 2017
2017 - ?

I bought the extended warranty this time and was sent a better model so I had to pay the warranty difference to cover the upgrade. The warranty difference was $20. I have two dead dehumidifiers and one working dehumidifier in my basement. They are stacking up faster than I can get rid of them.

I missed anything that November wrote about not making Rail's anymore. Why was that?

You might also take a peek at mybikeshop.com. They have good closeout/ demo deals.

So what happened? You stopped sponsoring the team & they locked you out? Or you quit the team & they locked you out? Or both?

The lock out seems weird to me though. Social media for a race team is really about gathering positive attention, usually it's about "look at our team and how great it would be to be a part of it!"

Carbon rims were too spendy to cover, as far as liability goes. So, they are now concentrating on aluminum, and as far as that goes, the wind tunnel shows the 31W rim is on par with 404's. So, they're definitely pushing that, Easton, and others.

Bah Humbug 10-07-17 06:44 PM

Which makes me sad, because I kinda regret selling my Rails. C'est la vie. If I ever start riding again I'll probably just bargain-hunt for Jet6+s.

The publish no prices. All quotations are done by email.

Let me also recommend "onlycarbonwheel", an eBay store. I am very happy with their rims that I built up into a 999g pair of tubulars.

Dehumidifier? WTF :foo:

I though that was what air conditioning was for. Now I k is about humidifiers from my stint in the NE. But dehumidifiers? Not so much.

I think it was a fair decision. We were long term sponsors of the team and title sponsors the last two years. For a couple reasons, sponsorship for 2018 didn't make sense. New sponsors will maybe step in and we're old news. So it goes.

You responded the same way last time I talked about this. Let me clarify. This is for my basement - a thing you don't have in Houston. At least you are consistent which is admirable.

BTW, Our local college football team in FCS (1AA) Kennesaw State University is beating your local team Texas Southern 48-3. I am a season ticket holder. Have you ever heard of Texas Southern University?

Car batteries have become similarly junky.

I've been wondering what to do with my 16 and 20 hole dura ace hubs when the rims eventually wear through. Building a set of light tubulars sounds interesting.

So far that has not been my experience. Knock on wood.

All evening I kept getting messages that the site was down. Clearly that was an untruth.

The rims are very narrow and low profile, but that is how you get under 1,000g. They are only $225 delivered. Sweet.

Sure. I live a couple miles away from the campus. An historically black college. My younger daughter was an adjunct lecturer there for a few semesters in their night classes.
