Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have fallen victim to one of the classic blunders. A rainy day + a paid-off credit card + a bike frame in the same room as my computer= new parts and tires will be winging their way to my house this week. Must remember to get my mail lady a Christmas gift!

Haha...I just found a reimbursement check from when I overpaid my car insurance. That just cut my largest purchase in half. Yay for bad accounting!

Back in K-Town. 43F and light rain. Oh well.

I did see a road cyclist near Lexington. But he was on the sidewalk for some reason. Not sure if that counts.

If I had money this screaming deal would cause me to build some carbon wheels I don't need.

Dangit. Now you have me looking at 240s hubs, even though I have a brand new set of American Classics sitting in my wheel accessories drawer.

Hard to find deals on the 240s. I honestly can't tell the difference between my 240s and 350s, other than a few grams written on some piece of paper somewhere.

I already have that exact 350 hub on my MTB wheels, but my B+ set is crummy and not a good width on rims. Which is why I'm thinking about it...
