Surprisingly not that terrible-feeling. Tired, mild cough, mild body aches, stuffy nose. But I'm basically functional. Way better than getting the flu, which is going around at work. I got the flu shot but I know it's not super-effective this year.
I'm going with sleep (slept 12 hours last night!), lounging, tea, and DayQuil.
Still cooking the turkey, though, and I poached a vat of pears (Christmas surfeit).
Worse part is losing the roll I've been on training-wise, I've have zero groove going all fall and now I finally have/had some. It sucks to lose a few days on the bike, I have a race a week from Sunday. Hopefully I bounce back quickly.
It's always something, it seems.

Problem
Mile-A-Minute Weed (Persicaria perfoliata) is a vigorous, barbed, vine that smothers other herbaceous plants, shrubs and even trees by growing over them. Growing up to 6 inches per day, mile-a-minute weed forms dense mats that cover other plants and then stresses and weakens themthrough smothering and physically damaging them. Sunlight is blocked, thus decreasing the covered plant’s ability to photosynthesize; and the weight and pressure of the mile-a-minute weed can cause poor growth of branches and foliage. The smothering can eventually kill overtopped plants.

In New York, mile-a-minute weed has been recorded mostly in counties south of the northern Connecticut boarder. Mile-a-minute weed has a large potential to expand in cooler areas, as the seed requires an 8 week cold period in order to flower. It is estimated that mile-a-minute weed is in only 20% of its potential U.S. range.

I like almost every fruit, but for whatever reason like raspberries the most. I had planted a very nice raspberry patch in my backyard, and it was doing quite well about 4 years ago, then I had some busy times and an invasive vine took over and destroyed it by smothering the berry plants. Sad.
Oh, the invasive species is called "mile a minute" and has tiny spines in the vine. It is truly evil IMO.

Would you really want to risk it and discover that your high-quality down sleeping bag blew you up even though someone else's didn't do it to them? And find it out in the middle of the night on a camping trip miles from civilization? That seems like a bad thing to try, at least without trying it for a few nights inside.

I'm riding tomorrow for probably the last time this year. If I get 30 miles, I'll be a little over 6100 miles for the year, just slightly above my 35 year annual average.
Assuming that my wife doesn't buy a house tomorrow, I'm planning on heading back to Illinois on Wednesday and seriously doubt I'll get any more miles before 1/1/18.

Yes. I love down, but they make better spun polyester now, than they did 30 years ago. And down does you no good if it gets wet.
