Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

before Nabisco, they were Sunshine Bakery, but still the same product.

These are a little different, but an adult palate might like these even better.

Gotcha. If it didn't have both dairy and gluten, it'd be my mid-ride fuel of choice.

A while back I posted that the hillier, more challenging Ironman and half-Ironman courses were dying out for lack of interest, because people want the easiest way to earn their tattoos and be done with it. Someone (I forget who0 brought up Syracuse 70.3 as a challenging and hilly course. The attendance had fallen by half over the last few years, and now it's official:

IRONMAN 70.3 Syracuse

Thank you for racing with us in Syracuse. We appreciate the efforts and support of the city, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone else involved in putting on this race. We would also like to thank all of the athletes who have raced with us here. We appreciate your dedication and understand your disappointment at not being able to race.

I have no power at my house, either. My wife likes it that way.

Bike riding is dangerous. But riders on the road understand that. They don't live with the illusion of safety that many drivers have. In your comfy car you may not appreciate how fast you are going, or how a split-second mistake could be it for you.

Nope. And nope.

I had tolerable knee inflammation, and also unusual foot inflammation. It felt like I was wearing two pairs of socks. On the way home I hit an annoying number of red lights.

Twitter is a dumpster fire, but I did find this for your viewing pleasure:
