My Explorer really is just a fat station wagon. The generation of my current one ('17) is built on the same uni-body platform as the Taurus. The newest ones ('20+) have gone back to body-on-frame, like their trucks.

i would tend to agree but that's way over my pay grade! pretty odd that i have a ride which shows up in the club feed but not the leaderboard?

Are you sure it was categorized as a bicycle ride? The leaderboard won't count walks, for example. Sad.

As long as it's the same rules for everyone, it doesn't bother me. When I total up my mileage for the year (in an Excel file, because I live and breathe Excel at work), I have separate sheets for total miles, IRL miles, and virtual miles. Also a separate sheet for each bike. And then another sheet where I break down mileage by bike and IRL/virtual.

Been thinking lately that when the Taycan goes, it may be time for something in a different direction. TR6, 914, etc. Something cheap and fun. I'll keep the Jeep as well since I'll need a bike hauler and a car that reliably starts.

I used to think virtual miles were overestimated, and they may be, but I also realized that on Zwift I almost never stop pedaling.
Here's my cadence track from Strava on a 30 mile ride with 1300 feet of climbing:
Compare that to an 18 mile ride on Zwift with 1100 feet of climbing:
If you never coasted on an outdoor ride, you'd go farther than you generally do, so maybe Zwift's apparently optimistic average speed and total distance is not as optimistic as all that? But I still segregate the miles when totaling for the year.

Yeah, never depend on an English sports car as your primary driver. Trust me on this.

I knew a guy in the 70s that had two Maseratis, if memory serves, a Bora and a Merak. Always bragged that they got wonderful gas mileage as a result of the times they spent on the back of a tow truck.
