Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's pretty much it. Really anything aerobic will do it, but outdoors is best.

You saw at post #2562 that it did not. And to answer your question, yes.

Not enough recent team sports experience, other than yacht racing, to compare, and that definitely doesn’t work. However, I get a nice bit of peace from a purposeful immersion in the weight room, especially the gym at work, which is mostly empty during the work day.

what was my question? That insects are meat?
Posts 2562 exemplifies today's low quality output. If I wasn't such a nice guy I'd blame you. Then you respond by saying it's not easy being Vol.

It really does require a team to combat the Boomer vibe here. Velo Vol , bampilot06 , and TMonk versus the oldes.

That says more about Instagram than it says about me.
There is a question on the floor about insects and meat. How are they considered meat?

They're not vegetables. They're not fruit. They're animals. They have the same kind of nutrition in them as other meat.

I found the big magnet, while feeding the cat. It was right where it should have been. Tied a string to it and went looking for the screwdriver. Didn’t find it then. But a little later, doing another small project I’d forgotten about doing the day I lost it, there it was . In plain sight.Smiles all around.

taking the day off tomorrow for a little bike + train adventure with my older daughter (12)

we ride around a lot, but she's never done a long sustained ride more than perhaps 10 miles. this will be 18 miles each way to and from the train station with a long break in between. a couple short climbs of 250-300 feet each. she's keen to skip the train on the way back and ride the whole way (57 miles) but i told her it was too big of a jump from her previous longest ride. will be pretty interesting to see how she does - also a bit apprehensive!!

I was born in 1965 so really not quite old enough to be a boomer but not young enough to be a gen X.
