Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Three-strand on top of the fence makes one wonder since you said in another post that you work from home!

Nope. Only time I worked from home was last Nov and Dec when I had my cardiac event and fainted. Was driven to work tue-thur and Mon and Fri worked from home.

It would be nice but we don’t have a WFH option. It's work from work or GTFO. I understand that policy. When I'm asked how many people work for our company i say about half of them.

Gobsmacked is in my regular vocabulary. I probably use it a couple times a week. Neve thought of it as being British.

I'm sure i must have used it here a few times.

Or some sort of hyponics facility that requires perimeter security.

We watched "American Made" last night. Rather entertaining movie about drug and weapons movements during the Reagan years. You would probably enjoy and get a laugh.

As I'm getting ready for my morning rides, lately, I am having the distinct impression that it is getting light earlier. Maybe we're losing all our daylight on the ass end of the day.

Wasn't there an Audi with inboard disc brakes where you had to pull the engine to put brakes on it?

It wouldn't surprise me - they're the ones who (on certain cars) make you pull the engine to change the timing change.
