Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Perhaps Jackie was influenced by her owner's vegetarianism.

you might want to let the Mrs. know you are coming home. She might get startled and shoot you assuming you are a burglar.

Very real possibility in our house.

Fortunately, my wife has not learned the code for the safe in our closet.

Alyssa Milano is the best pool boy, unfortunately this movie was pretty bad despite the star-studded cast.

HA! The only thing that slows down is purchasing and contracting.

Example: My boss wants our working group to meet to discuss a particular topic. I suggested early January, but he wanted it sooner. So, we meet next Thursday, with only a single day left in the work year, when nobody will be able to do anything about any decisions we make.

Reminds me of the aerospace industry, where they would plan launches right around the end of the year. Launch is on hold, something's not working, find out what the problem is. No vacation for you.

Just wrapped up my three-event series with Big Pharma.

Monday: Knee injection
Tuesday: Iron
Today: Remicade

They should be sending me a Christmas present.

Will there be a new Velo Vol going into 2024?

Today the nurse was doing the normal blood pressure/pulse/oxygen monitoring and she tells me my pulse is 48.

wut

I've not been doing any regular, heavy duty exercise in months. I don't check my resting heart rate very often, but I've not seen it below the mid 50s in quite a while.

Is there a good explanation for this datlas ?

Based on this data point alone she told me that I "must have a strong heart."*

maybe your blood viscosity is whack. Better get busy worrying about that. I'm doing just fine.

Are there flowers attached to his sweater, or does it just look like that from the camera angle?
