Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That said, the only furniture I'd get excited for would be La-Z-Boy. IKEA is just boring.

I really like the furniture made by Thos Moser, but way too pricey. Our house is furnished with about 50% IKEA and 50% vintage furniture from the 1960’s we took off my parents’ hands when they downsized.

However, mrs datlas has her eyes on a fine looking tall dresser we saw at Room and Board, so a new addition might be coming to our family.

1 word to describe my ride today: Glorious.

It was only 10.4 miles but while I was on the bike I had no pain anywhere and no worries. I was one with the bike and it felt like I was transported to a time when i was free of defects. I can't explain it but it's the first time I felt normal since I began riding on June 1st.

I can't wait until tomorrow's ride. Maybe I can catch lightening in a bottle again.

Our two walk on kittens got spayed today. My lovely wife is watching over them as they come out of their anaesthesia. Had we known,we might have left them overnight..

A little chilly for that in Flag, so watching Dbacks v Dodgers and MNF simultaneously, indoors, at a place with 50¢ wings.

Most bars typically treat baseball like a redheaded stepchild, but we have audio for the baseball game tonight.

Had we known, we certainly would have left them overnight. It's insanity over there. They have these jackets on, to protect the stitches, and they just slither out of them.

Pull your seatpost and dump some in your frame, see if it gets any lighter

There are 3 men in a boat with 4 cigarettes but no matches. How do they manage to smoke?

Throw 1 cigarette overboard and make the boat a cigarette lighter

At least you’re not a Phillies fan. What a disappointment that was. I was out watching and told a friend I had a bad feeling about Wagner. I have never liked him.

Close to that for us. Don't remember ever having more than one. But we'd just lost a dog and they showed up. Our single old cat is 14.
And we will have no rodent issues for the for the foreseeable future. We live in a house whose doors are never closed, except during a driving rain. So, without cats, the rodents have the run of the place

Weird, my saddle height is the exact same as all of my other bikes. Just under 31 inches, but on the check point it felt too low this morning. How is that possible. Measure from center of BB to top of seat.

Vax appt made for three days before my birthday. Not looking forward to previously-mentioned side effects, but want it done before flying home for Veterans' Day.
