Definitely a misfire, rough idle but doesn't die. The thing that makes it especially fun is that it only misfires on cold start. If the engine warms up and it's driven a little bit then left to sit everything is happy and no DTC codes thrown.
Thanks, I grabbed a coil just in case but I'll be more than happy to return it. I've got to do this in my driveway tonight so my wife can get to work the rest of the week, so hopefully a new injector fixes it. I'll clean all contacts on the injectors and take a look at the harness assembly since I've got to take the whole damn thing apart anyways. Why does it always have to be the hardest one to get to?

Thanks big john and LAJ. No more misfires on my test drive tonight. Did plugs, too. Felt a lot zippier!
My guess is that the plastic retaining tab on the injector connector failed so it was making intermittent contact. I went ahead and replaced the injector since I was in there, but I didn’t have a new connector so it’s got a zip tie bandaid that I’ll remedy on Sunday.
Ended up having to use the coil I had bought since one of the connector retaining clips broke on the coil side of that one too, and then a second one broke about halfway off so I’ll fix that properly when I do the injector harness work.
At least now I know exactly how to pull the intake and fuel rail now, and since I won’t have to remove the injector again I shouldn’t smell like gas after I do that work.
Crimping is the best splice method for engine stuff, right?

I came in tired today but not completely wiped like yesterday. I am completely wiped now though. All afternoon in the wood shop. A good wiped.

A lot of that plastic stuff gets brittle after so many years. Some recommend heat shrink connectors for splicing but I soldered a lot of wires, too. Some are against soldering but I did it a lot without comebacks. Solder and use heat shrink tubing, works in places where you can't get easy access.
The good heat shrink connectors will make a complete seal when you get them hot enough.

Finally got the Dodge towed to a mechanic. Fingers crossed.
It turned out to be SO SIMPLE that I feel stupid for putting it off. This happens all the time with anxiety-driven avoidant behavior, unless what you're putting off is something that gets much, much worse if you put it off. Then you feel REALLY stupid for putting it off. But, if emotions always yielded to logic, the self-help and counseling industries would never have existed.
