When I broke my collarbone, the doc wanted me to not drive or ride for 8 weeks, but I was driving as soon as I could change gear and riding once I could brake withoug wincing.
The only thing my Mrs has gotten bolshy about was criteriums after I got knocked out in a big stack. Just avoid bunch riding till you're all good and you should be sweet. |
got the gear changing thing down pat. Turning to look over my shoulder is the only thing that bothers me (apart from clutzes patting me on the shoulder). I guess it's reasonably important to be able to see what's behind you without the fissure opening up again

I'm an expert at driving with one bung wing after three shoulder dislocations and reconstructive surgery. Including a dislocation the day before flying to the UK for a five week driving holiday. If only Avis knew I took my sling off to go in and pick up the rental, then stopped round the corner to put it back on.
Crap, the Waratahs have gone 16-14 up. 8 minutes to go. |
The car rental game is a funny thing. They fret and worry about your ability to pay for the car if you damage it, but once you prove that you can then they don't really care if you do. Weird system.
Keep the scores coming. No free-to-air coverage of ruggers anymore |
Well, my whiskey addled mind read the score wrong, full time and it's 16-14 to the Hurricanes.
Hurricanes player of the match - Maa Nonu, Waratahs - Lote Tuqiri |
Gotta have satellite here if you want to watch rugby live (pretty much any sport)
Luckily we need satellite to get any TV as our VHF and UHF reception is near zero :D |
Thanks for the revised and unwelcome scoreline vette.
|
Only problem watching Sky Sport rugby coverage is the commentary from Mr verbal diarrhoea Murray Mexted. Tonight he described one of the players giving a "hand job" and even that line made Murray stop for a second before continuing.
He's a classic :p |

Real bike riders don't listen to weight ******s
Real bike riders ride bikes that are suitable for them. If that puts them in the 7kg class then so be it, maybe Michael Rassmussen can get away with that. But shove someone like Cookie on something like that and it'll probably end up in tears. |
Yep Cookie needs something more substantial.... like perhaps an OCR1 :D ...I put the ol' thing up on the bay tonight. Anyone got his number? ;)

There does not appear to be a free consumer decoder for H.264 except for one open source project that has to be built under C++ |
Back on injuries, I drove to hospital to get a cast removed from my arm (dislocated elbow).
The wing felt so good I reckoned I could have straightened my arm and snapped the cast off. Anyway, they cut it off, I went white and nearly hit the deck, walked outside with my feeble arm in a sling and no idea how I was gonna drive home...LOL. |

There's still a couple of formats that just won't play on my Macs, but yeah, H.264 is great in Quicktime.
Doesn't video compression suck though. I wasted so much time trying to find Codecs and trying to play ****ing stupid Windows native files its not even funny |
Mate as long as I can play Xvid, DivX and H.264 I couldnt care about what doesnt play.
|
Unless you just spent 4 hours DLing it and it won't play
|
I downloaded Codecs630_allin1 and it didn't help. Any of you able to open/play the vid in my post?
