I found that Bill Hicks quote....

By the way if anyone here is in advertising or marketing... kill yourself.

No, no, no it's just a little thought. I'm just trying to plant seeds. Maybe one day, they'll take root - I don't know. You try....you do what you can.

Kill yourself.

Seriously though, if you are, do.

Aaah, no really, there's no rationalisation for what you do and you are Satan's little helpers, Okay?

kill yourself

Seriously. You are the ruiner of all things good.

Seriously!

No this is not a joke! You're going, "there's going to be a joke coming," there's no ****ing joke coming! You are Satan's spawn filling the world with bile and garbage. You are ****ed and you are ****ing us. KILL YOURSELF!. It's the only way to save your ****ing soul, kill yourself.

Planting seeds.

I know all the marketing people are going, "He's doing a joke..." there's no joke here whatsoever. Suck a tail-pipe, ****ing hang yourself, borrow a gun from a Yank friend - I don't care how you do it. Rid the world of your evil ****ing machinations.

I know what all the marketing people are thinking right now too, "Oh, you know what Bill's doing, he's going for that anti-marketing dollar. That's a good market, he's very smart." Oh man, I am not doing that. YOU ****ING EVEIL SCUMBAGS!

"Ooh, you know what Bill's doing now, he's going for the righteous indignation dollar. That's a big dollar. A lot of people are feeling that indignation. We've done research - huge market. He's doing a good thing."

Godammit, I'm not doing that, you scum-bags!

Quit putting a godamm dollar sign on every ****ing thing on this planet!

"Ooh, the anger dollar. Huge. Huge in times of recession. Giant market, Bill's very bright to do that."

God, I'm just caught in a ****ing web!

"Ooh the trapped dollar, big dollar, huge dollar. Good market - look at our research. We see that many people feel trapped. If we play to that and then separate them into the trapped dollar..."

How do you live like that? And I bet you sleep like ****ing babies at night, don't you?!"

:roflmao:

Thylacine 06-07-06 12:44 AM

Wilchemy 06-07-06 12:47 AM

Good find Thylo, that's pretty funny.

....pity you didn't need to post it yesterday, what with the Satan's spawn reference in it :)

Those guys build relationships, they don't just make the sale. I worked there for about 5 months, and can't really find a bad thing to say about them. Astute businessmen, and good to their employees as well as their customers. We were told to match the customer to the bike, there was never any pressure to make a sale. Yeah, you can complain about the prices, but the service is better than most. And if you go in and tell big Dave that I sent ya, he'll probably hook you up as best he can. They know some people aren't going to shop from based on price alone, and they're willing to try to win your business.

FWIW, I like to look at $10k bikes more than $1k bikes, wven though thats more my budget.

I was at Fitzroy Cycles in Carnegie today, and the shop guy swore to me that people are paying $7000 for the Time VXRS frame-set!!! Unbelievable

People are sheep. They probably go home and whack off to their Tom Boonen poster too. :o

Torpedo7 buy OEM parts and then sell them retail. I suspect that's what CRC/PBK do, too, because I have OEM accounts and guess what? Their prices are similar plus a comfy little margin. Makes my job ****ing hard, is what it does. No cream on the parts sales.

7 grand for a frame, seatpost, stem and forks. How dumb are people?

Fairy nuff. And you're one of the few that have opened your wallet in Civic. But when not looking for bike porn, Hadleys can probably help you a bit better.

I'm so tired. Bloody Tom Boonen keeps me up at night. Might have to take his pic down so I can get some sleep

Do you guys watch Fifth Gear on Foxtel? I've been downloading them off the net. They're longer than the ones we get here, and as a bonus, I get to watch them as soon as they air.

*thumbs up*

Great show.....I'm a massive Tiff Needle fan.

Not as good as Top Gear with Clarkson, tho.

Did you see the ep when he raced Vicki (in the V10 M5) in the BMW F1? Incredible.

pshaw 06-07-06 05:32 PM

Thylacine 06-07-06 05:33 PM

Yeah, Tiff is cool. I like all the presenters actually, they really compliment eachother well.

I haven't DL'd any Top Gear yet, but with Fifth Gear on holidays until after the world cup, maybe now's a good time.
