sorry bout that fellas, I couldn't help myself.
Noone was biting... although it was the middle of the night over there. Shoulda waited.

I was trying to figure out how to include a reference to the dive Baden took in last year's Giro, drawing that outrageous penalty from poor innocent Paolo.... but it seemed too long a bow :(

bbw 07-04-06 02:43 AM

I'll take Pozzato on a flyer, 'pipping' Valverde. Or if it's a bunch kick I reckon Boonen, he'd still have legs after the climbs. He might be a tad hungry now too.
My heart says McEwen for the hat trick! There'd be some decent odds on that.

Might have to cut back on the brews. Gave the liver a good soak last night then defied all sensibility tonight and did a couple of decent sets of flying 200s to warm up the vomit gland. Then a latecomer invites me into a 10 lap cruise at 38. Bugger me if I'm not out the back door after 4 laps (1750m!!!).

Guess I'm toast in this week's Snowball event.

Tue night track night?

jock 07-04-06 06:09 AM

Don't you read the club newsletter (you know that thing that you used to publish! :p )

Track stuff is Tue night in winter. Toss a couple of bucks to the athletics club to help keep the lights on and bob's your auntie. Tonight was quiet with just me, Stuart Eddy, and Brad Magus thrashing about. You can't join in anyway until you get your pain problems sorted out, eh.

How's about I find out who's gonna be up there at Calga this weekend and get them to ferry it up for you. Climbo? pshaw? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

HDTVKSS 07-04-06 06:48 AM

from the seppos complaining apparantly the cervelo one is a ripper as well.... :o

AnthonyG 07-04-06 07:30 AM

The Avanti add is easy enough to ignore. Its the Skins add and the Maquarie Bank add that haven't changed from last year that annoy me the most.

Regards, Anthony

Dodger only a bees dick away from yellow after last night.

Brian 07-04-06 04:10 PM

I guess I'll have to turn the telly on soon.

badsac 07-04-06 04:16 PM

Fukn soccer. Stop watching the tour for a night and the whole peleton crashes and smashes themselves to bits. Just my luck. Race will probably be boring as batpiss once the soccers over and it's the only thing left to watch.

HDTVKSS 07-04-06 04:29 PM

just get fox :D seems to be uninterupted coverage for a full 1/2 hour if you are on the highlights

mrkott3r 07-04-06 04:38 PM

Must be lack of sleep, but I've been reading that sentence for half an hour and still don't know what it means. :o

is John Eustice back for 2006?

BTW, the Race2Replace ads on discovery Channel are brilliant......Tom Danielson isn't a bad actor!

HDTVKSS 07-04-06 05:28 PM

not that im aware of, i only caught it this morning and it was the phil and paul show as over at SBS but no Gabriel, and no annoying c#$t Tomalaris = good viewing.

Thylacine 07-04-06 05:48 PM

OOOOoooo, was there drama at the Tour last night? What did I miss?

*EDIT* Oh noooooo! Heart goes out to EriK Dekker. Holy sh¡t that sounds like an insane crash. And O'Grady with a fractured vertibra! Jaysus! Valverde too!

HDTVKSS 07-04-06 05:55 PM

a collar bone smashing competition! evidently the flat stages are too boring and needed to be spiced up, WWE style. After all, we all know the yank punters love a good crash derby!

this site looks interesting... http://www.ubilabs.net/tdf/

jock 07-04-06 05:58 PM

Old Man Voigt broke away with some other guys. They stole all the intermediate sprint points.

Velvet Deer fell down and broke his collarbone. Everyone else in the peleton thought that looked like fun and gave it a go too.

Boom Boom and Aerogard were setting up to see who was the fastest rider up an 800m hill when The Hustler chucked it into overdrive and rode straight past them for a very surprising win after all the work he did yesterday. The Artful Dodger followed him and took 2nd to place him only 1 second off the yellow.

Bad news, can't be too promising.

Bjarne is sure to have something that can fix him up though
