TDF forum is on the main page. and yes, you can stir there ;)

on stage 1 they mentioned that Robbie was 70 kilos, i wouldnt have thought he is that heavy considering he is all of 5 ft nothing.

climbo 07-03-06 05:48 PM

small but all muscle ! 70kg isn't much.

Wilchemy 07-03-06 05:59 PM

According to his stats on the Davitamon Lotto team website Robbie's weight is listed at 67kgs. I'm guessing that by TdF time he would be pretty much at his optimal race weight.

edit - and 170cms I think

HDTVKSS 07-03-06 06:03 PM

hmmm so hes taller than me eh? surprising!

and 8 kilos lighter - highly unsurprising!

If you want to see where I fit into the matrix, just look at any pix of Magnus Backstedt. I'm the same height and weight as that guy, but prettier and with more hair.

He has me trumped in the lungs and legs departments though. :)

Average is what, 5ft 9ins and 71kg or something like that? Puny little b1tches!

A little while ago I mentioned an unusual carry on with EchoWell.

Well the guys have made good on their promise and delivered a brand spanking new HRM. Not just the unit, but strap, mounting kit, speed and cadence sensor, and instruction manual. All for nicks, even international shipping was at their cost. How good is that!! :)

Nice!

full medical report will be on CN soon enough from the pre-Tour check ups....

tallest, smallest, heaviest etc etc. They usually come up with an "average Tour rider" as well...

Bling's arrived. I'm the new owner of a pair of Sidi Gebius 5's and Look Keo Carbon pedals...Oh yeah and I'm happy the wifes home.

What's on for tonights stage ed? Boonen smashing them with brute strength on the uphill climb to the finish? Lotsa little breaks over the rollers, and negative pack shutting them down quickly to keep the sprinters in the hunt?

HDTVKSS 07-03-06 11:40 PM

Do you know where i can get stage maps?

climbo 07-03-06 11:46 PM

where you get everything else...

on a completely different topic....

Anyone see MotoGP from Donnington Sunday night?? The sky-blue hotpants on the Rizla Suzuki grid girls?? Sensational.

jock 07-03-06 11:51 PM

BWAAAhahahahaha :D

Nice sidestep.

Come on ed, speculate a little. It won't hurt a bit. :p

Stuart O'Grady for the win....arms in the air....20-30 metres to the bunch.

He'll punch his way up that little climb and use his Charlie Walsh-induced aerobic capacity to hold off the field.

Meet back here tomorrow morning for debrief...:D

HDTVKSS 07-03-06 11:57 PM

i think today may be the day a well timed break makes it in.

and yes, Suzuki has the market cornered in quality grid girls. Nicky Haydens grid girllooked pretty good from arears as well :D

If he uses Bijarne Riis-induced aerobic capacity he'll probably have enough time to pop a wheelstand a-la MotoGP style :D

I'm 1 from 2 so far (D Millar let me down :( )

My tip: Some misc frenchman to take another oddball win through a breakaway.

Wilchemy 07-04-06 12:07 AM

Look for Simon Gerrans to try and get in a breakaway & spend some quality time in the hurt-box.

He doesnt look like he's out of the hurt-box since his accident!

I agree, Robbie looked like he knew Boonen was the man and marked him too closely on the first stage.
Last night he looked like he believed he was the fastest guy in the race and went out to prove it..good stuff!
Does Boonen look off his game? Last year he was smashing everyone in sight..?

HDTVKSS 07-04-06 12:37 AM

Jock, if you think the pump needs to come out for its weekly run i should be at calga this weekend providing its not raining....

Yeah, from the back of the knees up it's all good. Then I scrolled down and the FMBs just deflated all interest immediately :p
