Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They put them in the background sounds of the jungle in Tarzan movies. I was a grownup before I learned what that "hoooAAAH! hoooAAAH!" sound was.

I am finally acclimating to springtime weather. We had a high of 38 proper today and I didn't work up a sweat out in the wood shop. Yesterday I was confined to the hammock all day.

Any ideas and/or comments? Am I being too thrifty for my own good? A new Ti frame with custom geometry (whose only benefit would be a rear disc brake) is going to cost at least a few thousand bucks. Then the fork and new groupset is going to cost even more.

Not yet decided. Decathlon team management say they don't want to rush his development.

This Canyon Aeroroad CFR Di2 will be arriving late May. It will be my last bike purchase unless something happens to it (crashed or stolen). Figured I would go out with a bang. Thanks to mom for leaving me her house which has been sold. She would approve. Mrs RSbob, she is still recovering from the stroke she suffered when I told her the price.

Ooh, now I wonder if Fostoria has some Midwestern rail significance. Cuz Altoona makes total sense to me but Fostoria...?
