Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well fellas, looks like my Serotta Forums privaliges have been revoked for the moment so I guess that's a reminder I should go for a ride.

That's what I think of Internet BBS censorship.

Much closer. On the right side of the city for Dandys.

Tullamarine is about 60-70km from the Dandys, Avalon is about 90-100km (way down the western peninsula of the bay) , and Moorabbin is about 25km

My guess is that it was his "sensitive" attitude toward the 'wind' victims:

Well, apparently, as a private citizen you can say an 8,000 dollar frameset is an insane price and mention - nay, discuss with others at length - cheaper alternatives, but I get censored if I agree.

Granted, I did mention my carbon frames are not even half that price, and it is against their posting policy.

Aren't conservative establishment bike companies fun?

So predictable. Protect you image at all costs. Stamp out dissendents and 'undesirables'. It even says in the policy they don't want discussion about competing product, yet it happens all the time -

"1- You may not advertise other websites, via posts, PMs, or signatures. The purpose of this rule is to prevent careless spammers from abusing our forum. This also is intended to prevent posts of a competitive nature. These posts will be edited or deleted, with or without notice, and the members may be banned."

Every second post on there mentions some other company, some competing product, a request for opinions on competing product, or is posted by someone who owns another bike company, such as Dave Kirk and Richard Sachs, etc etc.

Hypocritical, anti-competitive, and pro-censorship.

Top job fellas!

But seriously, someone has to remind the idiots that you don't need a celebrity to 'remind' you to be a good person.

But apparently reminding people of that obvious fact means that I'm somehow 'against' victims of natural disasters or cancer, desipte the fact that most of my family died of cancer, one of my good friends died of cancer at aged 29 last year, my cousin narrowly escaped the Tsumani, my fiancee and I donate to Greenpeace, Oxfam, and Amnesty on a monthly basis and we volunteer at a soup kitchen.

And we do all that without Bob, Oprah, or Lances 'help'.

I'm not trying to blow my own horn - I'm hardly a saint - but seriously, this planet is slowing becoming some surrealist nightmare the way some people act and react.

Now excuse me - I have to jump in my Cessna and head to my ranch in Moorabbin
