Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

If you were buying some other stuff at the same time, they would probably consider matching the price. Oh well. I'm no salesman, you know that.

Well I'm in the market for a couple of long bidon cage bolts. Would they qualify as 'other stuff'?

Hmmm. Let's see. "As long as I'm buying $8 in hardware from you, can you knock 10% off a new bike too"? You could try calling and see if they'll match or beat the other shop's price, but it sounds like that's too much of a hassle. Just get it locally and save your $. Yeah, I'm no salesman.

I gotta admit, I wasnt sure about the road shock quality of carbon... more bling...but WOW, the bike feels transformed! Feels very smooth compared to old setup.

Placebo effect to counter the hole in my wallet?

Yeah, I'm reading Naomi Klein's 'No Logo' at the moment and it's got me fired up.

Fark, my legs are still sore from the weekend.

Let that be a lession to you, kiddies. 4 hours of overgeared singlespeed 'fun' can be a whole lot of not fun for days afterward.

Either that or someone sneaked in my room Saturday night and replaced my legs with concrete ones.

Probably as fun as pushing an overweight beach crusier into the wind for 2 1/2 hours.

I picked one up in 27.2, and some other road bike bits. A 105 9 speed rear derailleur, a few headsets, I'm not even sure what else. Should have it by the end of the week.

Anyone know anything about Rudy Project Ekynox SX?

I'm looking for a pair in white, found them in blue 25% off

Anyway, found a white pair in a shop, inside the leg its marked "for race only, not for resale".
They come with spare lenses for standard retail price but the lense combination is different from rudy standard.
Also, they are logo'd on the frame above the lense both sides. A bit heavily branded but look good nonetheless. Done a few googles but cant find anything.

Anyone seen anything similar?
