Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need Help With Voler Sizing...Please!

Well it's time to put in clothing orders for next season's team clothing. Our stuff is made by Voler, and I have very little experierence with there stuff. I'm tall and skinny (6'2" and 165 lbs), I normally wear medium bibs in PI and Specialized and usually large jerseys (except for euro brands like Castelli etc., I need XL). Can any of you guys tell me if the medium bibs will be long enough and if a large jersey will end up fitting like a skin suit. Thanks...

I'm not ordering for the team, just myself. I've asked the person who does the team orders, but thought I may get more help on what sizes to order from here.

Hi.
Well I'm 5.9 average build. I have medium jersey, that fits me quite snugly. Although it's a bit tight around the throat. I also have Medium bibs. They stop 3-5 inches before the knee.

Try this link. It's their sizing chart.

https://www.volerwear.com/help.asp?ca...3063143#sizing

Or, you could use https://www.voler.com and look for the sizing tab under the products tab.

I love their bib shorts, they are sized a bit smaller than Nashbar stuff but their jerseys seem much smaller. Expect a skin tight fit if you buy a jersey based on their guidelines.

I'm usually a PI Medium short/bid, and XL jersey. Most all my jerseys (other brands) are XL or XXL, with one XXXL. I can't seem to get a good fit with Voler jerseys. The XL's are more snug then I like and the XXL's are really big. Shorts and bibs are not a problem, mediums fit like mediums.

I'm 6'1" and 180 and wear XL Voler bibs. You'll need the length, more than likely.

If you are skinny and have no ass, the large will barely fit you. I'm pretty big all the way around and the large bibs are a bit snug.

Their sizing chart is good if you are built like a pro. If you are built like most humans, go up one size.

I wear large PI bibs, fwiw.

i'm 5'7" and 189 pounds, and i wear their jerseys in large and bibs in medium, and both fit perfect. i tried the bib in a large, and the bottom of the legs were on the loose side, which is why i went with the medium. the straps are pretty roomy on the medium, at least for me they are, and i'm happy with them...

i've also been told they have 5 cuts, so just be aware of which one you order. i have the euro fit, which is supposed to actually fit a size small, but i personally think they fit almost as big as pearl izumi's...

I'm 6'4" @ 178, and just got a new Voler skinsuit in L. If I was your size, I'd have gone for M -- this L is not too tight, but I can't go any smaller at my weight.

I though I would bump this and get some suggestions. I'm going to get some hammer stuff and i'm right in the middle of all the sizes, Now Hammer says to just size up... but how loose fitting is that going to be? I'm 5'11" 170lbs, 40" chest and waist is 36. Maybe large bibs and a med jersey?

I am 6" 167lbs, 33" waist, I have 2 pairs of Voler bibs (one is original, another is Hammer) both size Medium, great fit.
I wear Castelli bib -L, PI-M, Nalini -L (4), Performance-M.
Giordana is out for me because all the Giordana bibs I tried are too short (straps).
Hope it helps.

I'm pretty close to your size and the Medium bibs fit me great. I don't know about the jersey since I don't have them.

I'm 5'10" ish and 160.

edit... you are talking the Voler bibs? Those are the ones I have.

I'd recommend you look at the reviews at Voler's site, since some discuss the fit. Their sizing chart is accurate according to my experience. 6'1" ~ 190 = L in both jersey and bib. XL for Cannondale jerseys.

There's a coupon code still active if you're interested.

I'm 6'2" 173ish and had the same question when I ordered my Voler Peloton bibs a few months ago. They reco'd L and they fit fine after many rides. I could stand for a bit more compression in legs, but I think you'll need the strap length of the Larges.

Nothing worse than a crotch-wedgie from too short bibs.

And unfortunately for lilybay, I don't have any feedback on the web site in question - sorry.
