I like Euro as well. He is arrogant and obnoxious as Euro. As kris says, he is probably not nearly as bad in reality. Even if he is, who cares, it is just the internet. The funniest thing is seeing how long and angry some of your posts are when you respond to him. I love it, keep it up.

Yeah Euro, seriously - keep it up. You're one of the best contributers to this forum, better than some of the "regulars" who post a lot about crap that basically just puts them in the flock with the rest of the many sheep on this board. Do your own thing- cut yourself out of photos if you want to, do whatever, man - but when you DO find out results, tell us how you did within your category!

It is interesting to me that Eruo looks for our acknowledgment of him and what he is trying to do but at the same time is so shy about who he is.
If you look there are several pictures of me on the forum some not so flatering. Post an un edited pic of you when you get the results. I have more respect for my58vw (i think thats right) then I have for you at this time at least they have the guts to be open.
Hope you come around would be interesting to go for a ride with you if I ever make it over to see my sister in-law living in Bath. I know it would be a drive but I think it would be worth it.

That's assuming they care enough about what has largely become a huge joke to be so mortified when you "prove" everything you've set out to prove. Personally, I'll laugh harder when you do because the only thing it will prove is that you do, in fact, care a great deal about what other people think of you, regardless of how hard you debate that point.
1. Many months ago, I casually make a comment in an unrelated thread that my aim for the next season is to enter the top 1000 where I live. This is kind of like someone saying ‘I aim to do three centuries next season’. I have no plans with this statement to impress anyone, because it’s seems so normal to me (at least half of my regular riding partners are well within the UK top 1000)
2. A bunch of people with no imagination immediately say they think it’s impossible/I’m lying etc, because they make the hilarious and naïve assumption that a person’s behaviour on an internet forum is somehow an indicator of their real personality

3. Seeing an opportunity to humiliate some people with no imagination (like the list of people who didn’t believe I was building my bike), I decided to make a big deal of it.
I’ll publicise my progress here, I’ll get final proof when I make my move into the top 1000, and a bunch of people will pretend that they never doubted me, or that it doesn’t matter anyway.
I’m not interested in the approval of any of you subhumans, I’m interested in showing you up for the small-thinking people you are.
BTW – final postions aren’t out for the race, yet, but I understand it’s either 5th or 6th, which puts me approximately 1/8th of the way to my goal, in one race. Get that headgear in the oven, chaps...

So here is my pop psychology take on EURO. He needs us. He can't achieve his goals unless he feels that someone, somewhere doubts him. He feeds off of the negative comments and now he can "prove" to all the people who doubted that he could do what he claimed he could do.
I race, there are quite few members of this board who also race. Racing takes dedication, time and effort. Some of us will achieve more than others, some of that will be because of circumstance and some will be because of raw talent. There are a few BF members who are racing a pretty high level, Eventservices and YMCA, I believe, are both cat 1/2 riders. Pizzaman, I have it on very good authority, is the real deal. I have no doubt that he will go from a first year cat 5 to cat 3 in one season. He may make it cat 2. You don't do that by just riding, Pizza has the gift and I for one don't begrudge him on bit. BTW making to cat 3 from cat 5 in one season is big deal. Pizza is very humble and his race reports are exciting while never slamming anyone.
I will be racing my first race of the season this weekend, 2 day, three stage race. I promise to give you full details no matter if I finish first or dead last. I also promise to post unaltered pix if I get my hands on any. At 44 I'm pretty much doing for the love of the sport. I take my racing seriously but I know it's only a 'club' contest and like everyone here a pro contract isn't in offing.

It's interesting that on one hand you purport to hold to a completely different style of behaviour on the forum as you do off, yet you won't allow that same stance for others. Consider this: on-forum, certain bikeforums.net members might say you're full of shizit with the whole "top 1000 racer" thing. Off-forum, those same people might truly not give two rotten sand donkey dung heaps about you, your bike, or your racing.
Whoa. Now there is an epiphany.
Anyway. Where's your picture?

I often wonder if he even reads his own post to see how ridiculous he comes off. almost feel bad for him.

I love how we are getting worked up about Euro getting into the top 1000 in a country of 60 million. That's like the 4,900th rider in the US-In other words a nobody.

Euro we do wish you well, just having a little fun here ...hope you understand. All the best with your racing program. You do bring some valuable contributions to the forum, just a bit too serious at times - lighten up

I often wonder how it’s possible that people can be so stupid that they think I’m actually being serious with this EURO attitude.
Why is this discussion happening if your'e not serious about it? I could state that I am Muhammmed Ali. So? Would that provoke a whole bunch of people to argue about who I really am? Is that really worthwhile?

Euro I have no doubt you can make it intot hte top 1000.
However, from your avatar, I still want to know if you can touch your toes with the heel of your hand.
Now THAT would be something.
