Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 05 Specialized"Roubaix" Campy 10spd.

This particular frame has a LOT of flex. Still, a fine ride by me. Next frame will be stiffer (full-2006-10spd-Campy-Veloce-Vento-conversion-from-2005-9spd-Shimano-105-Alex)

Well, somebody's got to represent us Sequoia owners:

Clickable Thumbnail:
Got it in late march and so far put 500 miles and one metric century on the clock--and in the next couple of weeks, a full century, and maybe after that, a nice little trip up Rt 7 to Vermont.

Great bike. I wish a little bit that I had gotten my wife the Sequoia over the Sirrus but at the time there was a deal to be mode with the Sirrus. I think she would like the high bas and extra hand positions of the Sequoia though...too bad that aren't steel...that would make it even better for it's intended design.

My ride...about to get cleaned. I ran through bubble gum today. Nice hot day + bubble gum = gigantic mess. But I did luck out, the rear tire flatted while I got cleaned up, much better then on the road!
Grasschopper- I love your ride. Everytime I see a pic of it I say to myself, "Damn! That's a hot looking rig..."

Garysol1, does that piece on the rear derailleur cable housing (right by the right shifter) tell you what gear you're in??! If so, where did you get it?

That is just built into the Dura-Ace cable And it does indeed tell you what rear cog you are in. It is sorta repetitive info with the Flight Deck computer though.

Bikes: There's 4... 1 of ea

Remind me to post pics of my ?02? S-works.

I'm on my 4th one now... Starting with an M2 Road Pro in the mid-90s... Had an S-Works carbon mtn bike. Looked black, but turned a nifty purple color in the sun! One of the best-riding mtn bikes I've owned.

This latest S-Works was in a pair of bikes. One of them had to be sold. I picked this one to keep and sold the Bontrager Road Lite...

My 05 allez sport. Since this pic was taken, I've flipped the stem (after a year or so of riding as shown, and I'm now considering moving some of those spacers up) and I've also replaced the cages with white bontrager race lites.

edit:resized pic for forum
edit: I am considering moving spacers up. I should pay more attention in the future.

Flats

That's weird, Four out of five times I rode my '06 Roubaix I had flats. I went to a heavier tire due to the fact it was cheaper than always buying tubes. Actually, once it rained really hard a couple of times a lot of crap was washed off the road.
