WARNING on BicycleBuys.com
I bought a stem from them. I had bought this same stem in a 120 mm length for $22 elsewhere. I needed one in the 100 mm size. It was just what I was looking for since I wanted a particular drop.
They showed that they were the only place I could find with this size in stock. It was $49. I ordered it.
It came in two days later - the incorrect part - it was the OVERSIZE handlebar stem with the same name on it with XL added to the part number and it had a different drop besides.
I emailed them several times and no reply whatsoever. I couldn't call them during business hours for various reasons but they took orders fast enough so it's plain that they're receiving the email and simply don't want to reply.
They also have a seriously bad return policy - no returns except for shop credit!
I suggest you NEVER do any business with these people under any circumstances. Plainly they never had the part to begin with and took my money on false pretenses. Then they won't even answer emails.
This is the FIRST time in 12 years of ordering things on line that I've had anything other than the mildest trouble with the vendor.

Exactly how long did you give them to respond, sounds like you emailed them today, they didn't get back to you and you're bashing them tonight. The mistake could be an honest one, companies make mistakes and ship wrong parts all the time, it doesn't mean they are a horrible business that nobody should do business with. I also don't understand why you can't take 2 minutes and call them during their business hours, you're telling us you don't have any kind of break during the entire day to make a phone call and resolve your problem before you come on a public forum and bash them.

They have a seriously bad website too.

I had a similar problem with them about nine months ago. I'm in Japan, so business hours for them is middle of the night for me. Email correspondance was miserable with them during the five weeks it took to get my purchase.

They did that to me over a campy record carbon FD...sent me a steel cage unit. Thing was they don't make one for this tubing diameter anymore....so I called and asked if this was actually the part.
Oh well, the FD will find a good use someday.

+1 for the CC dispute
Just call your issuer (bank) and not Visa, MC, Amex etc. Have everything documented from order info (date, amount, merchant info, etc) to attempted contact info. Your issuer will probably want you to attempt to contact them via phone before they do any work. Just make sure you note when you tried to contact the merchant. Depending on your standing with the issuing bank and if you have history of disputes, most likely they'll reverse the charges.

A friend ordered a full grouppo from them and as far as I know, had zero difficulty with them (or the group). It sticks out in my mind because they gave him an embroidered hat which looks to me to say "BicycleBugs.com".

I emailed them over a week ago and then again three days before I posted. What's more, I also reported them to the BBB.
