Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: Fast ones

Asking someone to film me for 2 minutes? I was going for a ride anyways.

The Woman really appreciates you guys calling me a liar. Now she's almost as determined as I am to do it again with a faster sprint and indisputable proof.

I'm not sure what 'indisputable' would be, especially here. But I'm looking forward to the video.

I was thinking, showing my max speed before and after in an uncut kind of way. Any suggestions on another way?

I wish I could be happy about that conversation, but methinks even looking at "Ashley" may constitute some sort of prison time.

Thanks though.

God knows we could use some more of that. You are the Ryanf Antidote.

And slow down before you hurt somebody.

I don't doubt he can hit 40mph by himself. I've done 38mph easily 10x in a row during sprint workouts. I think another way to film it would be for the car to stay next to him, film him perfectly synchronized with the car when he hits 40mph, then pan over to the speedo. Or have a helmet-cam and film the computer on the bike.

What I want to see is Boonen hitting 47mph by himself!!

Not Ashley. My weather is ok? Look at this coming week. 8 straight days of snow and rain.
