Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ya know, having lots of unpainted carbon fiber on your car -- especially if it's a Japanese import -- gets you labeled as a "ricer"..

DasProfezzional,

Nice! How do you like the new ouzo pro fork? I was thinking about replacing my older LOOK fork with a new ouzo pro, but not sure if it would gain me anything. Plus, it's damn hard to find an older (cheaper) one with 1''.

Seppomadness, I love the wheels! I've got a set up on ebay right now (slightly dinged) if you want an extra pair. Smoooooth ride!

Variety is good for you.
It has nothing to do with variety, it is simply the wrong forum. There is a forum for SS/Fixed, how would they like it if we started putting pics of our geared bikes there. Whats next mountain bikes?

I like your fixed gear road bike, Dave

Iz nice! I had kind of a scare with it, though. I'd only set a crown race once before, on my commuter, which was a messy procedure to the fullest extent (.3 mm of steel is harder to file away than you might think,) so I got the head mechanic at my shop to help me. He kept banging and banging, and it turned out that the tool was hitting on the upper part of the steerer tube, for like five long minutes, since the steerer was too long. It's CF, too, so, like double the scary. That's what the thing's supposed to hold up to, I guess(./?)

But it's a great fork. If you can find one cheap, buy it. Mine's got a pretty large amount of compliance fore/aft (you can really see it flex,) but it's stiff laterally so it just translates into a really smooth ride.

Hi,

I guess that this is the one place that I didn't post a photo of this:

It's 15.75 lbs as shown. Bought it for myself as a 50th birthday present. Since it's my race rig I've only ridden it twice since I built it, but I'll be racing it at the end of October in an 80 mile point-to-point road race.

Some Performance Ti skewers that I bought in 2003. I got them because they were anodized red. They work fine -- not great -- but fine. The wheel hasn't every fallen off.
