Though, at least from an aesthetics perspective, it seems like Dean could have gone up a size. Or maybe bought a frame with a more suitable geometry. That's a big spacer stack and he already has a sizable saddle to bars drop.

Very sweet build though.

edit; of course me nitpicking the setup of a beautiful Colnago comes off as silly when we look at the Di2 Trek on this page...

Most of the stack under the stem is actually a flared spacer from the factory, and I think this is supposed to stay there. There is only an additional 5/8" of spacers.
It is a 54cm frame and is the smallest frame I have. My bikes are normally around 56cm. But this one came up second hand at a great price so I got it anyway. It actually turned out to be very comfortable to ride and I am now quite happy with the sizing.

Is that the FSA computer mount thing you have on there? If so, how do you like it? If not, which one is it, and how do you like it? I've got mine mounted on the stem right now, and it seems like really the only benefits of having it there are looking cooler and maybe being easier to check during rides.....what do you think?

May I inquire where exactly you bought this bike? I am living in Toluca currently, born&raised in Sonora(near Arizona for the US folk) and recently took upon cycling. Been having a hard time with it here in our country, we have extremely limited options and very expensive ones at that.

Just finished rebuilding her over Xmas break. Removed the stock 105 group with FSA Gossamer cranks and no-name generic brakes, and replaced it with Sram Force. Also added the 50mm Yishun carbon clinchers (from Bikeforums group buy), FSA K-Wing bars, and Speedplay Zero pedals. Can't wait for spring to start riding again!

It's very similar to the FSA mount but it's made by ACOR. I thought the bar in the FSA mount was too short and got it off ebay for a nice price. You can check its info here: https://www.acorsports.com/products_d...ry=23&i_id=211

I used to have a smaller front mount that clipped in the stem plate screws but broke from road vibration. This one is rock solid, albeit a bit heavy (around 50g). With this, I find it much easier to look at data during my rides than having in on the handlebars or stem (I have a Garmin 500) and the clean stem makes the bike look much nicer :-D

Hey there, paisano! It's fantastic to find another mexican guy around here. I live in Mexico City and just begun cycling by the end of 2009 and by the end of 2010 I got my first seriously beautiful bike.

Down here in Mexico City we have several store options, like Viansi, TeknoBike, Bicimaniacos, TransVision, CasaLeo, and the miryad Benotto stores, etc. Also, have you been at the new Specialized Concept Store in Santa Fe? It's absolutely out of this world!

Regarding pricing, I think it depends on what you are looking for. You can find specialized bikes at competitive prices in The Concept Stores, Transvision and Bicimaniacos. Trek and Eddy Merckxs at TeknoBike, Orbea and Cannondale at Viansi, Cervéló at Casa Leo and so on.

On parts and groupsets, Benotto carries almost anything by Shimano and has recently begun introducing SRAM at very competitive prices, altought cassete options, and crankset configurations may be limited.

Good wheels tend to be a bit expensive since they usually have to be custom ordered and imported.

For more specific stuff, clothing and exotic parts, I find it that if you plan to spend upwards of 1500 dls it's cheaper to simply fly to Tijuana or San Diego and bring the stuff yourself. Sporting goods are not taxed by customs and you can pretty much bring anything you want.

Also, have you ever heard about "El paseo del Gato" every sunday at 8am on Insurgentes and Periferico? At the mid-stop in Cuemanco there are some guys that do a lot of custom ordering and importing at very good prices.

Like I said I'll buy it off the shelf next time.

- I still have the Cannondale, but now it has Joe Young wheels and Speedplay clipless pedals
- 3 years ago I got a 1985 Bridgestone 600 from eBay which I use as my foul weather/beater bike
- I just took delivery (less than 24 hours ago) of a custom Carl Strong steel roadbike w/ S&S couplers
- I'm still a year or two away from receiving a Richard Sachs Signature road bike (got in his queue about 10 months before he closed the list)

Updated my bike with Stronglight Ct2 rings, Si crankset, Zipp SL bars, and Doric Team. Don't mind the spacer stack, working on my flexibility for the coming season and haven't cut down the steerer yet.
Hoping to add new ENVE wheels, and a Zipp SL Speed stem when they each are available.
