Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You can make a Pedal Force look pretty awesome if you put a bunch of sweet parts on it. Yes, you are right btw painting Titanium is stupid.
A PF would look cool with a lot of paint on it....Andy Warhol kinda cool.
....wouldn't make it a cool bike.

A system Six would be a cool bike no matter what paint....

As all my bikes are Titanium, I have to admit I only have two of'em painted...One only partial.
I just don't find it practical (or worth it) having all my bikes done with several hundred $$ custom jobs...

So you have a several hundred $$ custom paint job on at least one of your bikes, and it's "not a freakin' catwalk" as you put it. RIGHT.......

Thanks and it did! All those bikes were on the floor and it took up a LOT of space.

Thanks! The wall mount and hooks are made by Rubbermaid. It's called FastTrack and you can get them at Lowe's. You might be able to get them at Home Depot, though I'm not 100% sure. They're really easy to mount.

You sir are correct. That's the only spot that didn't look so great, but actually its not suppose to be exposed if I used ALL the headset pieces then it would have covered it, but I wanted it as slammed/low as possible

I wish it were turbo. Just oil and compression gauges. Did put light weight fly wheel sti clutch and other suspension goodies in it.

Cars are like bikes, you just always want to take them apart and make them better.

Re: New to the site and Road Biking

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello and also that there are some beautiful bikes posted here!

My lovely wife bought us new road bikes last month and we are really excited to put some miles on them this Spring. Hers is a 2011 Trek 7.5FX and mine is a 2011 Specialized Roubaix Elite SL2 with the Apex group(she prefers the flat bars . We've had only a handful of nice weather days here in Texas recently and can't wait for the weather to improve. We are both experienced recreational cyclists but are new to road biking and look forward to gaining as much knowledge from this site as possible!

Ronnie

Enjoy the new rides and addiction Dawnron1. Her trek is more considered a hybrid on these forums, despite that is is labeled as a performance road bike(Flat bar). They are both great choices and you guys will only grown to love the bikes more and more you ride.
