Please keep the story going, some of us aren't waiting for a Ti frame for Xmas and want to continue living vicariously through you. What kind of wheels are you expecting?...

Everybody stands in a circle
Pass a beanbag around circle to music
When music stops person holding beanbag is out
Pretend the beanbag is a very very very HOT POTATO

I still think it will show up, remember Christmas Eve is monday!!! Here's a bet...I just shipped cigars disguised as paperwork to my friends in NZ. Betcha [a nice japanese wall calendar] you get the bike before the good Commodore Barrie gets his Acid Kahluas.

After multiple phone calls to FedEx Ground today, I finally got someone willing to get off thier butt to look into the shipment. He contacted the Calgary FedEx facility to ensure it hadn't arrived, he then contacted the Chattanooga TN FedEx facility and got someone to go look for it. It was found in less than an 1/2 hour.
They said that it will be shippng today but would be unlikly that I will get it before Christmas. I'm not holding my breath as it seems that FedEx will give you any B.S. story to get you off the phone.
In the future, I will insist on UPS or USPS. According to the USPS tracking site, the wheels I ordered just 2 days ago has already cleared Canadian Customs.

I bought a plastic model kit on eBay once that the seller said would be shipped USPS. It never arrived, so after four weeks, I contacted the seller who exploded back at me that I was a liar because it was delivered by FedEx more than three weeks earlier. He had not told me of the change in delivery methods so I had no tracking numbers and FedEx had never even knocked on my door or left a notice but had simply dropped the package at the apartment complex office and they had put it in a storage room with other deliveries and forgot about it. I know this because I questioned the FedEx driver for our area at the office one day later on and he told me that he never did anything but drop everything at the office to save time. As far as he was concerned, his responsibility to deliver it to me ended there. I have no doubt that the seller tried to put in a claim for late delivery and kept the shipping money I paid as extra profit if they accepted his claim.
The moral of the story is if you want your packages, you better squawk at them like you did because you have no idea what their delivery practices and policies might be in your area. It's different everywhere depending on the driver, and the tracking data is a joke as you can see, although in your case, it appears to have been correct since they said the package never left Chattanooga. But, like I said earlier, it's the luck of the draw. Good luck!
Regards,
Jefferito

I don't think it's a matter of FedEx sucking in general, but I do think based on this story I won't be using FedEx for anything that needs to come through the Chattanooga area.
Here in Chicago, UPS is horrible. They reschedule deliveries, lose track of stuff, fabricate delivery attempts, and then when all else fails in their attempt to stop you from getting your package, you're reminded that picking up a package from them involves a death march through many miles of Chicago traffic to one of the tiny handful of customer facilities they have -- in my case a single vast warehouse that originates delivery routes for probably two million people but has a customer service "counter" the size of a Dunkin Donuts kiosk.
And if you want to send something from here, UPS consistently charges more than FedEx. FedEx here are cheap, reliable, deliver ground packages on Saturdays, and you're never more than four or five miles from a staffed FedEx company facility.
It's all so different from where I lived in Minnesota. FedEx doesn't seem to realize the state actually does go all the way up to the Canadian border, rather than stopping at about US highway 2, while UPS service for the most part was very good in my small town, with convenient and consistent delivery times and a great local UPS store agent, so I was a UPS person up there.

I have been in the same situation, but at the other side of the equation as the sender. It was a special kind of motorcycle paint that he could not find in his state and for some reason the store could not go out of CA state. It took more than two months from CA to FL to finally get the package and without insurance or delivery confirmation.
Also, one time some B+G performance springs from Germany took an average of 3 months as well. One thing I should suggest is to verify how much time you have to file a complaint be it via your credit card company, FEDEX. Cover all bases because in some situations the sender tends to come up with excuses just to burn the time to start a formal complaint. I was very honest with the store who sent me the springs by telling them the time I would give them to wait was exactly enough before contacting the CC customer support line. If I recall well I think it was NOPI and they always emphasized just wait and if I did not want to they would give the money ASAP.
Just make a note of all the phone calls, who did you talk to, time, etc because its a lot of cash you are about to lose if it does not arrive. There are all kinds of scammers, a few weeks ago I was going to purchase a camera via an online store and customer service called asking me what kind of battery and charger I wanted with the Mini DV camera when in fact its all included as I found out with Canon USA customer support.
I know its tough but stay focus and have all your info ready whatever the outcome.

This has nothing to do with your bike, but I'd like to say that I live in the city right outside Knoxville, TN. So hey neighboor!
P.S. I never use FedEx, but I hope you get your bike. Good thing you have insurance.
