I love LW stuff (That RD is gorgeous), but I am scratching my head a little on this one and see it more as a fetish piece. You can buy many of the parts used in the LW as aftermarket (KCNC tuned parts) and convert your own derailleur into the stoopid light realm for a fraction of the cost.

For Campy SR11 build..

RD $440
Kaiser Bolt Tuning Kit $60
KCNC Titanium/Ceramic Pulleys $300
Fibre-Lyte Carbon Mech Plate $35

That's $835 versus the $1440 of the LW and same performance.

SRAM Red you can go even nuttier...97 grams!

Here is a 97 gram Red Derailleur using the same parts as above...that's 23 grams lighter than the LW. Sure we're talking about 23 grams here...but that would make the tuned Red RD 20% lighter than the LW, and I would wager that the Red RD has better shifting performance.

I dare not post my bike. What was white bartape is now a beige/brown mix. Duct tape is wrapped around my right bar end and right shifter. Frame is speckled with thick mud. 4 spacers above the stem (though the stem itself is flipped).

Yeah, but you're riding your bike in Belgium so it instantly attains more hotness, not to mention more badassness. That's not a word. But I invented it because it's fitting for this discussion.

Carry on.

Raven, you know I am a fan of your e5 simply because it is a step up from my A1 Allez. Though, I think some matching blue cable housing will really highlight the blue that you are clearly pushing.

The bar tape is made by a company called F.U.B.A.R - you can get it on ebay or they also sell direct online. The tape is durable and stays cleans, and has decent grip believe it or not. It is a pain to wrap with though. Not as stretchy and flexible as a good cork tape.

I know you guys don't think much of this bike, but I was playing around with some new light equipment (I'm have a side business as a professional photographer). I tested the setup using the bike as a 'model'. The other pics were cell phone, so maybe the photography will make it a tiny bit hotter.

You're leading the race for most posted bike on this forum.

Thanks! Good idea on the cable color too.

Forgot to remove my frame pump when taking this... 16.5 lbs with pedals and those heavy ultegra/open pros and $2 tubes. I'm thinking about a white/black arione cx..

I already really liked it. I also like how these photos pick up the blue which, I agree with the poster above, would be effectively complimented by colored cable housing(s).

Oh geez....... If he changes cable colors then we will have to look at 5 more pages of pictures of it after the cable swap...... :)

That's okay, because as long as he has a significant lead over me, I wont get as much flack when I finally get my bikes how I want them and post them in every other thread. :thumb:

Thanks. I have used their tape before - the pink metallic stuff on my rain bike! :thumb:

Gary, just because of your love for the 7800. Here is another one that I did a while back.

That's what you do with predominantly black bikes. You need small touches of colour.

You're totally forgiven for not using a garage door. Now if everyone would just follow your lead, please post some girls. Err... Bikes.
