Drop one stem spacer (I cant tell from the picture but it looks like you have 1 or 2..maybe not?) and get a -6 stem. Your bars look all sorts of funky with the stem

Ditto on the stem, looks weird having it angled down like that.

That garage door is hot...oh wait, there is a bike too. Bike is hot. Some deep wheels would really set it off, but I still like it.

i like the old cannondale better than venge. but i think i'd like a black seat post on the cannondale to match the stem. or silver on both

I laughed so hard when I read your reply, "anyone want a slipped disc? maybe you just like showing your ass off to everyone behind you?"

Your saddle is not level, cranks are at wrong angle, and something is seriously wrong with your front wheel.
And I won't even mention garage door.

Looks all wrong.
No.

Uh, can you tell us why you think that? Would be a tad more helpful.

As for me, I wouldn't kick that R5 out of my garage. I'm more drawn to a traditional type frame with less of a sloping top tube, but overall the bike looks awesome! I'd rank it a HOT! The wheels and the bike are not overbadged which seems to be more of a rare thing these days. Nice!

I think it's right, and I'm not even a Cervelo fan.

Handlebar too tall, long head tube, thin seatstays clash with chunky rear derailleur, front end of the bike seems oversized compared to anemic rear...
I don't know. It just does not work for me.

What you mean is "I don't like Cervelo"...that's okay, I don't either, generally...but this R5 is as good as one of them can get IMHO

Dan333SP 08-22-13 08:04 AM

I think that older cannondale is smoking hot. The torelli (my phone autocorrected to "tortellini") would be with traditional bars and a race saddle.

Well said.

Even though I dont like cervelo's, soloist assassins Cervelo still is one of the hottest bikes I have ever seen.

bmcphx 08-22-13 07:48 PM

Goofy seat, cheap components and wheels, ***** stem, and triple crank

can you Look at that bike and HONESTLY tell me it is SIZZLING? It may be a nice bike for you but when you look at it, do you really, I mean deep down REALLY think that bike looks hot???

This is why it is not hot to me.
1-It just doesn't look aggressive.
2-saddle is nearly lower than your bars
3-Triple crank is rarely hot, yours is not the rare case.
4-The geometry of that frame just looks....ehhh boring.
5-components look cheap
6-mismatched cages
7-computer on stem doesn't look good. With all the garmins and "cooler" looking options with out in front bar mounts, computers on stems just look out of date.
8-stack of spacers

overall, the bike just looks boring. There is nothing flashy about it.

As I so quickly learned a couple hundred pages ago, the HrN thread is no place for a bone stock bike.

Love b10's reviews
