Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't understand the fit comment. If the reach is right keep the frame. A shorther one will just result in more spacers. Buy your bike so it fits when your feet are on the pedals, not the ground.

I think it cold be hot with a few changes. I vote black tires and tape too.

Most people don't know what's going on with Raleigh, including me until I worked at a bike shop that carried them. They have some crazy good bikes. Their high end carbon road bikes (like above) are awesome. I want to say it is one of the stiffest frames tested.

We appreciate your medical condition, but it doesn't make your bike hot. As a matter of fact we couldn't care less about what works for you. This thread is all about vanity. Lower the stem, take a pic, post here, then raise it again to suit. Instant hot!

I also meant to suggest black bar tape and red hoods...

Thanks.

A flipped stem may look better but I like my bike the way it is... it fits well for me. Once I get a proper fit at my LBS we'll see if my bars are too high... or too low.

Yeah definitely should of gone up a size.

Not only does he suffer from a medical condition, but a mental one as well. What kind of idiot would build a 13.5lbs bike? Do you do a lot of climbing where you live? Seems like such a waste of money, you should just ride your bike more, and get stronger, then you wouldn't need a bike that light!
