Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hot indeed. I'd prefer straight black tape though.

Truly HOT Moots... how does it ride? I've heard good things from a friend that rides a Vamoots and one of their Ti MTBs.

I really like the fork on this one. Very few companies make or rebadge a matching fork on their ti bikes, instead leaving you with a silver bike and black fork combo. Sorry to say it but maybe the next version of this one will excite me more. Something makes me want to say it is the wheels that are skewing my perception more than the consumables like bar tape. The comparison to a svelte woman in too clunky of shoes comes to mind. A not very strong not for this one.

I debated it for a while...I always use black carbon deda tape but wanted to try something different. I liked the way the grey on the tape went with the Ti.

I've had the frame for years with various gruppos/wheels and it rides great. I've always loved it. I haven't had a chance to put this incantation through the paces yet but I don't expect anything other than great.

Hi,

Been lurking as you folks discuss the merits of Hot vs Not. IMHO, anything by UCIMZ is hot. The Moots in its current configuration is hot too. Later.

concave-y seat stays don't appeal much to me, but i love the look of carbon lugs. IF is hot.

the moots is sweet too, the bartape really sets it off.

It's not so much for looks,

The angle of the seat stays really make or break a race bike as far as comfort and handling is concerned.

I'll say NOT on the Corvid, nothing distinctive about it in my view.

But worst of all was shooting it against that distracting wall . . . very bad idea, that background does nothing to help the bike!

That is definitely one of the nicest ti bikes I've seen. Although, I would prefer a non-sloping top tube if it were mine. Still, there is nothing wrong with that bike...anywhere. Very well done. The Master is just as nice in a different way though.

That Moots fork looks weird though. I think AlphaQ once did something similar, but still, looks like it's backwards (although I know it's not).
