Gentle reminder: this is not a "post your bike pic" thread - there's already a sticky for that. Don't be shocked if your bike is clearly not and people say likewise. Reminds me of tone-deaf American Idol contestants who are convinced they're the next hot idol.

Very good point mpath. I myself get wrapped up in it too. However, that being said, there are far too many people who only consider Red/Black/white Cervelo's, Spesh', and Cannondales in that category. People should also not be upset if somebodies bike is posted that they think is a not. Too much of this, "Your bike doesn't deserve to be here, it's the HOT OR NOT thread." BS going on. If you only have eyes for your bike and bikes JUST LIKE yours, keep that in the thread about YOUR bike. If you don't have one, make one. People should not feel less worthy of a thread due to financial situations. (All of the photography nitpicking is well deserved aside from the garage door bs as it is a thread more about PHOTOGRAPHING BIKES not really about BIKES themselves)

to be fair, you don't have to know anything about a bike to have an opinion about whether it looks good. a lot of people here don't seem to understand that. the quality of lynskey's bikes is totally unrelated to their appearance.
