It's nit-picking at that point, but I just don't personally care for the wavy hooks/drops. Aesthetically anyway, I like a smoother shape.

ok guys, my new '12 Colnago CLX 3.0..forgive my poor photography skills
Campy Record 11spd
Bontrager RXL stem
Bontrager RL h bars
Vuelta Corsa Lite wheels
Selle Italia SLR TT saddle
Brooks leather bar tape
Michelin Pro4
Blackburn cages
and yes i know i should flip the stem, but that is the set up recomended by by my fit and still need to finish trimming the stem now that it is set at the right height

fa63 02-13-12 08:45 PM

It has potential, but no chance of being hot with the stem pointing towards the heavens like that.

Now that brings back some memories. Pope was my first duty station out of tech school.

Oh, and BTW that Herky Bird is hot! :-)

I think that is pretty slick for an inexpensive stock bike... Nice!

veggie 02-15-12 12:02 AM

Came out amazing, much better than I thought.

Purple Bianchi: hot. Would be hotter if handlebars were rotated 10 degrees earthward.

veggie 02-15-12 01:26 AM

Thanks, all my friends compliment me on it.

The bars were pointed down a bit after the photo when I took it for another test ride(still haven't taken her on a proper length ride, its been too rainy)

Ok so be easy, but what do you guys think about the colored tires and should I keep one color or the other? I just picked up these wheels so i have not changed the cassette over yet.Any other opinions would be helpful as well. I would like to change the seat to black also. Thanks

Tyres should be black. End of story.

WhyFi 02-15-12 11:44 AM

On the Felt - not a great photo, but I think that it's hot (minus the saddlebag). One of the only instances where I genuinely like the mismatched tires.

Thank you! I think I need to slam that stem some more.

With the Felt, I feel that the white housing might push it over the edge and give it to much white, but thats just me. Take some better pictures and report back!

What is up with your chain, and where is your rear cassette?

Read the post. Lol. All it takes are some literacy skills.

lapiana29 02-15-12 09:01 PM

Well I was a bit anxious and just purchased the wheels and tyres so I wanted some opinions on the colors of the tyres to the bike.I have yet to get out on the wheels since I live in beautiful buffalo and as a result it was not a rush to pop the cassette on.I will re-post some better pictures soon.

lapiana29 02-15-12 09:04 PM

haha , I enjoy reading the posts as much as seeing the pictures of hot bikes.

X-LinkedRider 02-15-12 09:04 PM

I actually like the red tires.

Like the wheels, but get some black tires for the rear.

alexaschwanden 02-15-12 09:45 PM

Get black tires they look better.

X-LinkedRider 02-15-12 09:49 PM

there you have it. 4 people in a row. 2 for red, and 2 for black. That should make it easy on you ;)

I think the red makes your Brake calipers/pads look A LOT nicer.

sbxx1985 02-15-12 09:55 PM

Black tires.
