16.1lbs with aerobars (YES, I said aerobars). 15.0lbs in "roadie" mode. Weights are with a powertap hub and 404 clinchers. I'm 6'1" - I know its hard to make a larger bike look HOT.

PS, front presta is getting swapped out tonight. I only had 1 removable valve core latex tube and thats on the back. The front gets one tonight.

^nice!!

its nice how lightweight bikes these days are actually stiff/strong/robust.

before anything UCI illegal usually meant, super exotic tuned groupset and components, noodle-ly mess frame, and fragile wheels. now people can have 38mm-60mm stiff and strong rims, jam Di2 and powertap meters into bikes and still be UCI illegal.

I never thought I'd call a bike with clip on aero bars hot but it somehow works on this bike.

Not to mention it's a Roubaix. Pretty much a double sin on the 41. Rides like a dream tho, and the aerobars give 1.3kph at the same wattage, so the haters can suck it :D.

Don't forget to mention - comfortable. The Roubaix rides so nice, and in this smaller-than-my-normal-size it's got geometry similar to a Tarmac in my regular size.

I'd say that's definitely a finished product. That saddle/post combination is insane....In other words,it's sizzling hot.

Thank you. I think it finishes it off nicely. I think the Vukas look a lot better cut short too. ;)

Think I like your beater too. What frame is that? How do you like them Eastons?

Thanks! The beater is a Trek 5200. I have not ridden the Eastons yet. I got them for $300, but the front is cracked on the other side. Getting it fixed through Easton for $350 so it will be a nice budget set of tubies. Going to race with the rear on Saturday. This is her in her previous life. On the training wheels.

Custom integrated saddle, seatpost combo modeled after his SLR.

Yep, it was handmade for me from Berk Composites in Slovenia.

Absolutely center-of-the-sun hot, SA. Well done. I have my Vuka Sprints installed, but have lagged on getting the cables re-routed - taking it to a shop this weekend and I can't friggin' wait! How much did you chop off the ends?

Thank you very much. I cut exactly 1" off each side. Which was 9g, plus then another 3g of bartape. It felt perfect where I cut them on my ride yesterday.

Are those vitorria red valve extenders?

plpete 04-26-12 10:20 PM

S2 is HOT. Perfect BF presentation photo too, although I wouldn't crop so tight and give it some room :thumb:

They are the full extended valves, not extenders.

Thanks, I admit however the back it looks like it's on the 15 or so. So I kinda screwed it up a little bit there. The Trek is on the 11 though.

I could live with that. Maybe blacked out stem would complete the look. I think you wanted to get one but they were unavailable.

X-LinkedRider 04-27-12 09:00 AM

Word. Both bikes came out exactly as you visioned. Very well done and fantastic job for following through on initial plans. The custom seats are RIDICULOUS! I commented on the other thread about a sticker with your name on it for the Trek, I realized now that you already have that.. So just ignore that part of the comment.
