Awesome job SA!! You motivated me to start my own Cervelo project, just beginning now..also the saddle and post is way cool...:thumb::thumb::thumb:

What's the weight of the S2 frame btw? I want to say my aluminum S-works isn't far off - if that's the case I could theoretically get down to that weight. Not sure I want to spend the money chasing that rabbit though.

Thanks WHOOOSSHHHiepants! I covet a SLC-SL a lot you know this. The early Cervelos had such nice paint designs in comparison. Especially on the headtube. The dual Cervelo logos are so much better than the stupid lowercase "e". The new bikes have the superior aero cabling so it's tough. I still would love to do some custom paintwork, but I probably won't.

I could live with that. Maybe blacked out stem would complete the look. I think you wanted to get one but they were unavailable.

I ordered a "Beyond Black" version of the stem, but the LBS messed up the order. I am actually kinda glad they did. The regular graphics match the Vuka Sprints better. Especially from the front. With two "Z"s on the bars, and one on the stem, it's sweet. It's like it is sleepy. haha.

Word. Both bikes came out exactly as you visioned. Very well done and fantastic job for following through on initial plans. The custom seats are RIDICULOUS! I commented on the other thread about a sticker with your name on it for the Trek, I realized now that you already have that.. So just ignore that part of the comment.

Yeah, they both came out better than I could imagine. The saddle combo is way more comfortable than it looks btw. Also I still want to do stickers on the downtube of the Trek. Just subtle outlines of the word "TREK" in white.

I never weighed it, if you can believe that. They are usually around 1150-1200g depending on the size.

How did you know you would like the saddle? Did you have choices? if so, how did you know which one to choose? The picture makes it look like it has some padding. When I looked them up on google images, they all looked carbon. hope this isn't rude, but do you mind me asking how much it ended up costing? (if you do mind, I understand)

ruskko 04-27-12 09:59 PM

its molded after the selle slr which he owns

bianchi10 04-27-12 10:04 PM

:) do you sniff his saddles or ride with him or something??? lol (totally kidding BTW)

So, lets say the fizik arione is the saddle shape you prefer.....can they mold it to that? (I am not interested to buy since i probably cant afford it, but just out of curiousity sake)

ruskko bike looks good man. The red tires are a bit much for me, but I like it nonetheless.

Jure, offers a couple different saddle shapes, and yes they are unpadded carbon, I rely on $250 Castelli bibs for padding. The one I had him build me was based off of a SLR C64 shape. He has tweaked the shape a bit to make it more comfortable, and flexible with his design. I am not sure what all shapes he offers at this time, but he is always working on new stuff, and advancing his skills. I used a SLR saddle before and I love the shape so it was a no brainer for me to go with that shape. Since it was a custom job, Jure did not want me to advertise the price, but he usually charges 350 euros for the round combos. Since I supplied my own aero post, and he just made a saddle, and glued it to on, and added supports, it was much cheaper. He also offered to make a mold of the Cervelo post, and make his own post, which would of been lighter, but a lot more money. Here is another angle.

Thanks! I love the vukas. The only thin that sucks about them is if you accidentally hit your knees on the sharp backside edge of them while climbing standing up. Other than that they are awesome!

bianchi10 04-28-12 11:18 AM

is that the model you have, "vukas"?

That Teschner is smoking. (If it was in the right gear, that picture could be on a calendar.

I got a new phone last week and it was a nice overcast day yesterday, so I decided to finally take some pictures of the Manocoque, since I haven't taken any in the outdoors since the Upgrades. (Once again, these are cell phone pics)
