It's still a new bike, so I'm still in the process of dialing everything in. The saddle is higher than in the picture and the stem is 5mm lower (I dropped a spacer).

Cervelo RS Giro D'Italia Edition. Took this photo right before a proper 60 mile break in ride. Absolutely love it. Now it just needs some deeper wheels :D

plpete 04-14-12 05:21 PM

Thanks! You need to get some decent photos up of your new Orca!

Great bike! what size is it?

DropDeadFred 04-14-12 05:29 PM

Size sexy

plpete 04-14-12 05:34 PM

Yup, the sexy size! 54cm. Seems like most frames look best at 54-56cm. Anything over that things can look a bit off. In the end its just aesthetics and you should still ride what fits :thumb:

I feel dirty now.

But seriously, I have a difficult time discerning if the bike is just a small frame or sloping top tube makes it look small. I estimate a 54 or 56

What you really mean is: If you aren't between 5'6", and 6' you should shoot yourself, and hope you are reincarnated to a proper sized. Human so you can ride a proper looking bike. All kidding aside, I agree 54-56cm always seems to look best. Except for the S5, where 56cm looks horrid, and it only gets worse beyond that. As much as I hate white, and pink, your bike is stunning irregardless.

I think the 56 s5 is decent looking the 54 is the best but the 58 made me hate the bike

conan's bike looks ridiculous. The headtube is twice the normal length, actually could be 3x the normal length if counting old school steel frames. The weird part is that he's like 6'4" which isn't abnormal.

shawn bradley's (7'7" former NBA player) bike actually doesn't look worse than conan's and he's over a foot taller!

Omg they both are horrendous those seat stays are a mile long...

DropDeadFred 04-14-12 06:12 PM

So much cabling

plpete 04-14-12 06:36 PM

nothing bothers me more than those tiny looking wheels.

Ha. Yes, I went with functionality over aesthetics. The bag could have come off easily enough, but there was no way I was moving those cages after getting them right!

Love that Cervelo RS Giro D'Italia Edition. Don't recall ever seeing pink forks but I like. What wheelset are those anyways? Curious.

Yes they are the Neuvation R28 wheel. Great strong wheels. When I got them quite some time ago they were throwing in a ceramic bearing upgrade. Thousands of miles later still buttery smooth.

Very hot. For me, frankly, this reinforces my opinion that their regular paint jobs suck - it's a beautiful frame with cleans lines before they muck it up.
