I like Ti bikes, they never look outdated.

I agree with all of this. Also it would be nice if you would stage your bike properly. Boy that ti, sure is shining.

I'm the first to admit that my staging sucks, and it's not a weight weenie bike. However, it is a 2007 and still getting hot ratings 5 years later. That, and the awesome ride is why i love Ti, and steel frame bikes...Timeless...:D

sosojeffcc 01-28-12 06:22 PM

pretty much stock, cept for saddle, stem and bar.

Bat and 2x4 in the corner are for people who don't like my bikes.

The bike now has 600 brifters and whatnot. It's a good bike, especially for the money.

FlatSix911 01-29-12 12:48 AM

Very clean build ... Ti?

Not hot in any way shape or form. Not only that, but it is staged very poorly. Downtube shifters really? Way too many spacers, is that even safe? Bottle cages, wheels, and saddle all make for a sub zero build sorry. Also, I am not afraid you, your 2x4 or your bat either.

Actually, the one thing that makes me want to vomit battery acid from that picture is the seat tube and seat alone. I killed the rest of the picture completely!!

You don't know how many times, I think I have it perfect, then I get it on the pc, and a valve stem is a degree or two off. Then I have to go, and retake the pics again. It sucks. However, it does make the pics look that much better.

Yes, those are 700x38c semi-slicks :p

ancker 01-29-12 09:33 AM

Lynskey is hot.
Surly is not, but mostly because it looks gigantic. Other staging things apply here too.
I'm pretty sure that Schwinn is a troll. Almost every rule broken, seemingly on purpose.

Soloist Assassin 01-29-12 09:33 AM

ban! That thing is so cold the grease in the bearings is most likely frozen solid.

No. Just plain old, double-butted 4130. It's heavy, but smooth and well-suited to gravel. I'm going to fenderize it soon.

weaver 01-29-12 12:29 PM

In reference to the Surly:

It's a great looking bike and is undoubtedly a ton-o-fun. By the standards of this forum though it would never get a hot. Wrong tool for that job, utilitarian never works here unfortunately.

echotraveler 01-29-12 08:36 PM

all... NOT

except for the BMC's

the lynskey is also a NOT, something about the chromed frames doesn't turn me on...now those components DO!, so a better staged photo WILL make the difference here.

VA_Esquire 01-29-12 09:07 PM

^ chromed frames? I might joke on WHOOOSH, but you have to hand it to him for having bad ass bikes....

echos opinion is invalid.
