Yeah, I am terrible shot usually. I am actually finding that some of the cheaper cameras work well for me. These were taken with a Samsung galaxy, and the touchscreen auto focus feature is pretty sweet. I took the same picture from a slightly vertical angle looking down on the top tube and down tube. One picture I touched the top tube and the other I touched the down tube and the pictures came out totally different. My concept, now that you don't have to worry about cost of film like the old days, is to take as many pictures as possible. Usually you get at least a couple of decent ones. Lol.

Well done!

Great wheels.

Not feeling the caad love around here lately but what the heck.

After getting a carbon bike and riding it I was thinking I might sell this. I've done a few rides on it again lately though and I don't see any reason to sell it. It's a great bike. Needs a few upgrades though. Thinking mainly new seat post a bars. Tape needs to be replaced too at this point.

I'm sure someone will tell me to flip so here ya go.

Actually, I'm trying out a 0 degree stem. I'm not all that flexible yet but getting better with each ride.

Nice bike. Your only reason to sell it should be to get a caad10 or caad11 in the future. Get some black tape or new white tap and saddle.

Thanks. Planning to get black tape. That's the stock tape it came with. I don't think I'd sell it for a caad10. Last of the made in USA and all that. Would maybe sell it to get a supersix but even then it's a good backup or winter bike.

Just thought I'd give Raven another try with a clear photo. Raven's her name and she's a '12 Fuji Altamira 2.0. But only her headset, crank and brakes are stock components.

Get a good photo with a good background and the bike set up properly and you can probably get a hot. Until then, well, momma always told me if you can't say something nice...... :D

Probably one of the best S2s I've seen... next to my previous '10 S2 :D

Definitely HOT.

HOT.

Budget or not, I vote hot. Do you like the tops of your bars pointed down like that? I like mine level, otherwise it feels like I'm sliding forward towards the hoods.

It hasn't bothered me. I just set it up with the drops and hoods level.

That's all that matters. Enjoy it.

Thanks for all the kind kind words on my S2 guys. Especially from primov8 means a lot from you. Your S2 was awesome, and your bike since it have not disappointed either.

Also I've come to the conclusion. Pretty much everything on the last two pages was pretty hot except for the Caad on the last page, and the Specialized on this page. The biggest difference, is those two bikes have way too many spacers. That white bike J HY rides, I've never heard of, but it looks hot stem is pretty close to slammed. Slammed stems make the bigger frames look hotter two which is usually a challenge with big frames. If the Specialized was slammed, I could almost forget about the frame pump, and the wired computer wire looking all 1983 on there. I like the color of that bike too. Notice the "Budget Roadie" even looks pretty damn good. Stem is freaking SLAMMED! This seems to be a trend.

Here is a quick phone shot from todays 75 miler. I stumbled upon a Tibetan Buddhist Temple in the middle of rural Maryland.

I was trying out the Specialized Romin EVO from my regular Toupe I had. I like the wider nose but the saddle is a lot stiffer and I could definitely tell on a long ride. Anyone has experience with the regular Romin and if its as stiff as the EVO. I might go back to the Toupe

I <3 Robots 04-29-12 08:37 PM

SA's is definitely one of the best spec'd S2's (or any bike for that matter). Too bad mine will never achieve the epicness of your ride.

I got some beyond black 404 tubulars on the way and going to go with the Beyond Black stem and Service Course CSL bars.

Primo's Ridley is also one of the sickest bikes I've seen in a while. While people may hate on the graphics...I really dig them. It looks like a racer!

You must be one limber mofo if you can ride with that much drop. Enjoy it while it lasts. Those of us with "not hot" bikes have to work with what nature gave us (or took from us).

I have the Romin and the EVO. The EVO is much nicer and forgiving than my regular Romin. Both are the standard gel versions, the padding on the EVO is much thicker.

Figured I'd throw mine out there

They yellow sidewall on the tire is distracting to me and I think all black would look better (IMO). still give it a Hot

Thanks! Sounds like you are on the right track. I wish I had the "Beyond Black" stuff. Closest I have is the stickers on my non-"Beyond Black" 404's. I love the black spokes, and hubs. I wish the Vuka Sprint bars were available in "Beyond Black".

Speaking of Beyond Black stems. I am contemplating one for my Trek. I think it may be a bit stiffer than the current Syntace stem, plus look better. It's either that or getting a carbon Bontrager stem, and removing the graphics, and re-clear coating it. I kinda like that idea to keep with the raw carbon theme. I've contemplated having Jure build me a uni-directional carbon post combo for the Trek. So it would match the uni-directional OCLV of the frame. I don't know if I can do that, and still refer to this bike as a beater. It does need a stiffer stem however.

I concur about the Ridley's graphics. They are over the top, and obnoxious, and I like them!

I agree. Also the bartape needs to match the saddle. Not to mention the tape job looks pretty ****ty. I see what you are trying to do with the white stem, and bartape to blend with the white on the frame. However I just think if it was all black it would look better. Then of course the tire sidewalls.
