2012 Focus Izalco Pro 3.0
Custom Wheelset Changed out stock seatpost, stem and bar for 3T components. Replaced Prologo saddle for Selle San Marco Regale Racing. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=247567 |
Time to face the music. Big time budget build here. I have maybe $600 in it. All parts I've accumulated over the years. The cranks just showed up today.

Not feeling the caad love around here lately but what the heck.
After getting a carbon bike and riding it I was thinking I might sell this. I've done a few rides on it again lately though and I don't see any reason to sell it. It's a great bike. Needs a few upgrades though. Thinking mainly new seat post a bars. Tape needs to be replaced too at this point. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-q...s800/caad9.jpg I'm sure someone will tell me to flip so here ya go. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-h...d9-flipped.jpg Actually, I'm trying out a 0 degree stem. I'm not all that flexible yet but getting better with each ride. |

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=247567 Overall though, your Focus 3.0 is HOT. |
I put brand new Continental Gatorskins 23c, wash it, changed the stem back to the Cannondale stem.

^^yeah, I'm eyeing that frame now on Nashbar. Might be a fun project. Btw what handlebars did you use? Like the shape of them.
|
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, I didn't think it would be so well liked lol. ^ the bars are Bontrager race xxx lite. I got them in a random box of stuff I bought off an ex bike shop employee for $100. That's also where I got the shifters and a dura-ace rd.

Hmmm - looked at the Nashbar frame and unfortunately even with some steals I'd probably end up paying more than what I would for a pretty decent BD bike.

what chainrings and crank length are you using? the cranks look really long around only 3inches from the ground and the big chainring looks like it has a higher tooth count than a 53.

I agree. Also the bartape needs to match the saddle. Not to mention the tape job looks pretty ****ty. I see what you are trying to do with the white stem, and bartape to blend with the white on the frame. However I just think if it was all black it would look better. Then of course the tire sidewalls.

Tires match the fence, seat post clamp and stem cap match nothing, seat and bar tape different colors, stem and seat post different colors, and who in the world wrapped those bars? I still give it a HOT!
Thanks for the ideas all! |

This bike has real potential, but this is not the show us your bike thread, so (1) it's facing the wrong way, (2)has more spokes then teeth on your chainring and (3)the bags out number the riders. Fix that and we can see how you can turn this frog into a prince.

That Pedal Force is hot.

I really like the Pedal Force bike! More details on the wheels?
Please don't take this as offensive, but that is an awesome budget race bike! (I only say "budget" as you put apex on the bike to save money and put the saved money towards race wheels....I would do the same thing) |
Are those farsports china wheels with custom stickers? They look sweet and the new clinchers are really nice for the price.

The wheels are built by J2-velosport (j2-velo.com) - they are china wheels, just built/sold through J2 Velo. Called and spoke with Peter (the owner) personally before I placed my order. I think they are out of Illinois. Very nice guy, very fast shipping, and decent price IMO for the availability of contact with the seller.
