Why the hell would you think it was supposed to have a negative rake anyway? Most bikes don't.

This deserves a "No S**T Sherblock"

unless of course you were trolling too, then we have 4 people trolling in a row.

My 2010 CR1 Pro. The handlebar angle is up a little but not nearly as bad as the pictures make it look.

Custom matte black "Cosmic" logos on the wheels...

2011 Cervelo R3. Posted a few months back but I have been breaking in my new wheels over the past couple weeks. And, I know...bottles in the cages, Garmin is still attached, blah, blah, blah...

Holden

^ This is a great looking bike. Something about the colors... it just flows well AND looks agressive at the same time. I think its because all the other logos are muted that the frame is really set off. Well done.

Love the blue

[QUOTE=Yaniel;13878858]Great looking bike, would look HOT with some carbon wheels. /QUOTE]

That would be like putting lipstick on a pig

So you don't like the blue?

Needs some balance somehow, it's "blue top heavy". For me the contrast is fine, just unbalanced. Blue striped tires next time around?

Pinkbullet3 02-21-12 10:17 AM

It is a nice shade of blue. Which came first, the saddle or the bartape? I've seen that saddle on Bonktown a few times. It'd be nice if pedals were made in that blue.

brian416 02-21-12 10:22 AM

Here it is with a black saddle and tape. Not a great picture though

Blue saddle came first, I won it in a prime. Got hit by a car later that wrecked my black saddle, so I used the free one rather than buying a new black saddle.

^ HOT.

IMO - The black allows your eyes to settle on the awesome cranks and frame more. The blue items seem to draw your attention away from seeing the whole bike.

alexaschwanden 02-21-12 10:30 AM

^ the bike looks great but the crank kinda looks hypnotic if you spin it enough.

VA_Esquire 02-21-12 10:33 AM

So why did you go from SRM to Quarq? Either way I like it, though I must say I am a fan of blue.

I felt the same way. It did'nt blend in with the rest of the bike.
The black on the other hand is damn perfect IMO.

Once again, agreed. The black ties it all together and hunkers the bike down.

Brian, in my book, your bike just jumped from hot to HAWT! :thumb:
The black transformed you bike. Well done.

Saddle and crankarms not level. Value stems not at 6 O'clock. Chain on little ring. Steerer needs to be cut. Remove computer. Backround is terrible....;)

I'll post the whole bike once it's finished, but perhaps I could get some feedback before completion. Here's what I'll be keeping from the stock Altamira 2.0:
http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...41697640_n.jpg

And I'll be outfitting it with SRAM Force shifters, derailleurs, cassette and chain;
http://www.sram.com/sites/default/fi...no_desc-en.jpg

Changing the 'cockpit' to Ritchey WCS aluminum in BB black color;
http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dimg/thm...1b77e38859.jpg

And my saddle of choice is the Ritchey Streem;
http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dimg/thm...cf8181ac12.jpg

And last but not least! I'll eventually upgrade the wheelset to Mavic Ksyrium Equipes:
http://www.mavic.com/sites/default/f...mal/111572.jpg

With the black, white, & grey scheme I think I'll be calling her "Black Diamond" or "Nightrider"!

Naming your bike will get you an instant "not."

Unless you are 12.

IcySmooth52 02-21-12 12:49 PM

I've had a name for each of my bikes I've owned, except for the ones I had when I was a kid. It's just a way to show my love for them :-p

How about we get to the thread, and you tell me if she'd (it would) be a hot bike?

I think starting with a butt ugly frame does not help
