I'm resubmitting my bike to the thread because it's seen a couple changes and after today's ride I consider it "done". It's also in the budget thread as it qualifies. I think it's hot, budget or not....but that's just me. :) Frame: 2001 Klein Quantum, Silver Cloud, 58cm Fork: Klein Air Rail OD Wheelset: 2006 Mavic Ksyrium Elite Tires: Continental Grand Prix 24, 24mm wide (23mm mounted) Shifters: Shimano ST-5700 RD: Shimano RD-5700 FD: Shimano FD-5700, braze-on Crankset: Shimano FC-5750, 175mm, 50/34 Chain: Shimano CN-5701 Calipers: Shimano BR-5700 Pedals: Shimano PD-5700 Handlebar: Ritchey Pro EvoCurve, 40cm Stem: Ritchey Pro 4-Axis, 100mm Seatpost: Ritchey Pro Carbon, two bolt, custom cut length Saddle: Selle Italia Turbomatic Tape: Fizik Microtex, silver Cages: Elite Pase Silver Composite Macia Housings/Cables: Jagwire Computer: Garmin Edge 305 The bike was purchased on local CL with the original 5500 triple group, wheelset, and other parts on it. Everything except the frameset was changed, the original group, saddle, and wheelset have been sold to offset the cost of the bike. Total into the bike, give or take a few bucks, $1319. I'm not counting the Garmin as it moves from bike to bike. If you want to, $80 eBay buy with cadence sensor and heart rate strap. I have a few more bits to sell too...maybe $25-$50 worth to further offset the cost. http://home.comcast.net/%7Ekhatfull/.../kleincost.jpg I love the ride. The whole bike just works for me...the fit is great (I got lucky with the stem choice), the 105 group is just amazing for the money, wheels spin like butter. I think the group and the frame compliment each other perfectly in a visual sense. I welcome your comments! http://home.comcast.net/%7Ekhatfull/...kleindone1.jpg http://home.comcast.net/%7Ekhatfull/...kleindone2.jpg http://home.comcast.net/%7Ekhatfull/...kleindone3.jpg HOT! How do you like your Selle Italia Turbomatic saddle? |

Nice specialized bike.

Ok. I have a question. How come I seem to have the only Sram Rival where the "DoubleTap" logo is on the INSIDE of the shifters, not the outside?
http://liveoncenjoy.com/SMF/MGalleryItem.php?id=525 Is that just how they did it on the older model? 2010 or whatever? Edit: I recognize Hao's Allez is Force, but still. |

Glad I am not the only one. Thought maybe some1 just installed them backwards? Maybe that's why I got such a good deal? ;)
|
|
Uh, I think your fork is on backwards.
Based on the angle of the fork stanchions, I'm inclined to say it was meant to go that way...but why? Seems as if someone forgot that disc brakes go on the non drive side. :innocent: |
rats! ill go fix it. thanckx.
|
No, it appears to be the correct geometry, I just don't get it. Is it a custom frame?

God the 41 is so out of it. Obviously it's on the right way. It's custom.

Why the hell would you think it was supposed to have a negative rake anyway? Most bikes don't. |
