My point was that people were disputing Shimano's instructions on what they mean by level. That is pretty hilarious though.
edit: I don't see leveling being mentioned in the manuals, but their illustrations certainly aren't following the proposed HoN aesthetic - https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7277/...6f9b8de2_o.jpg |
I don't know where that came from, this was what was stated though

Hoods look correct to me. Shimano recommends the hoods be level. If he moved it up, then it wouldn't level and if moved it down, again wouldn't be level. If he wants to move it up, he probably should consider switching out the ergo for compact then.

I think we are looking at wide angle barrel distortion in that photo.

I'm honestly not even sure what he's trying to indicate with the line.
Nice bike, but not sure it ranks a hot to me. Just not very exciting overall. But nice nonetheless. |

If you were to draw circles concentric with the axles I think you'd find the wheels are oval in that pic. How the hell does he ride around on oval wheels? :)

Glad to hear there are other diamondback fans and racers out there - I went to school up in Missoula, MT and the local bike shop there at the time sold diamondback. My first real bike was a diamondback mountain bike, and I've been a fan ever since. It seems like a lot of people dismiss them as 'walmart bikes', given their presence in the low end market, but from the build quality, specs, and road feel of this frame, I'd say they're capable of making a high-end frame that's on par with the sexier brands. You can occasionally find the frames cheap on ebay, as a lot of people bought them on sale solely for the campag super record parts and easton carbon wheels that came with them. |

Almost every dura-ace 9000 group, including shimano's own display bike shows the ramps level:
http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/201...800_75_600.jpg I also agree with that they look more aesthetically pleasing that way Pretty much sits in a showroom. |

Poor lighting and I'm still waiting on the bottle cages to show up, but I'm pretty happy with where it's at right now. It's a Trek though :p |

Slack chain/flipped fork and all, eh?
:thumb: Axle protector is the best part. Don't have to find one when boxing up the bike when flying with it. |

Finished my new training beater build. Still waiting on new wheels/cassette but it won't change much visually. Fire away...

Nice ninja edit. Other aspects of HorN aside. I don't know how people ride with the hoods angled down like that. The few bikes I've test ridden set up that way caused major wrist discomfort when ridden in an aggressive position on the hoods. Flat hoods are a must for me.
Haha...you caught that! I need to my hoods to be slightly tilted up from level. Some of the HoN "requirements" would render a bike a torture device. |
