I'll post the whole bike once it's finished, but perhaps I could get some feedback before completion. Here's what I'll be keeping from the stock Altamira 2.0:

Brian, in my book, your bike just jumped from hot to HAWT! :thumb:
The black transformed you bike. Well done. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...314_111950.jpg |

I think everyone missed the fact that the black came BEFORE the blue. Hence, "Got hit by a car later that wrecked my black saddle, so I used the free [blue] one rather than buying a new black saddle."

Needs some balance somehow, it's "blue top heavy". For me the contrast is fine, just unbalanced. Blue striped tires next time around?
I agree. I like the blue. Quite a bit actually, but it needs more to tie it all together. Maybe blue chainring bolts, derailleur hardware, that would all help a bit. Maybe even blue spoke nipples. |

I think it's a nice looking frame. Could do far, far worse.

http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...41697640_n.jpg And I'll be outfitting it with SRAM Force shifters, derailleurs, cassette and chain; http://www.sram.com/sites/default/fi...no_desc-en.jpg Changing the 'cockpit' to Ritchey WCS aluminum in BB black color; http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dimg/thm...1b77e38859.jpg And my saddle of choice is the Ritchey Streem; http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dimg/thm...cf8181ac12.jpg And last but not least! I'll eventually upgrade the wheelset to Mavic Ksyrium Equipes: http://www.mavic.com/sites/default/f...mal/111572.jpg With the black, white, & grey scheme I think I'll be calling her "Black Diamond" or "Nightrider"! |
I'll have pics of the bike will all the mentioned components except the Mavic wheels by the end of next week. That'll give us a good idea of how hot she (it) is.

Saddle and crankarms not level. Value stems not at 6 O'clock. Chain on little ring. Steerer needs to be cut. Remove computer. Backround is terrible....;)
I love how your name is the sound everyone makes as they go blowing past your over weight, fredly, slow ass |

Just rebuilt my SL2, I'm not sure what to think of the blue yet.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...SL2Rebuilt.png i think it goes well with the frame and would perhaps work better with silver wheels and maybe some matching blue tires - and red black shifters, because the bit of red on the tip clashes pretty badly. maybe a white seatpost as well. but with the bike set up as is, i think saddle and bars need to be black (or maybe white). |

So why did you go from SRM to Quarq? Either way I like it, though I must say I am a fan of blue.
Comments on my bike are about what I expected. I like it, but I'm not really sure that I like it. I guess I'm used to 3 years of black tape and saddle |

Only problem with this is those are the whitest garage doors on BF int he past 3 years, cranks pointed at (Downtube) also acceptable in this thread, if by stems you mean valve stems, it would be 6:00 not 3.
