I would give you a solid 8, but due to the speed limit sign, I give you a 6. It can imply the bike can go no faster than 10mph under your legs.

7. Might have gone higher as its a pretty bike but you chopped off the front wheel and photographed it in direct sunlight which, like me at the moment, is harsh. :D

How about this speed limit pic?

Are your bars comfortable with the hoods pointed down? Seems like it warrants an uncomfortable amount of pressure.

They aren't like that anymore. That was the first day I put the bike together after a crash that knocked a lot of crap out of whack. They look like this now, well not really, because I just put new bars on.

The colors are different, but it's just not doing anything for me, almost seems kind of blah. Different, but blah. The bottle cages in that pic conjure up thoughts of some kind of mutant pac-man as well.

I guess I should post a pic of my bike here so I get a good thrashing too...

MF wheels look a whole lot better without the decals...

When I first started riding Sram and went strictly by feel, I did the same thing. Look at the first post in this thread. ;)

I hate the S5 but the thickness of the Mad Fiber wheels and spokes kind of complements the chunky geometry of the frame. 7.9 = hot.

Standalone 12-27-11 08:45 PM

since when is a "5" a "hot?"

Also, what's with the Softcore S&M Cervelo photo? Do whips and chains make a bike hot?

Can I put my bar bike in a vinyl gimp suit?

Brings a new meaning to the term "beater...."

Hot = 9! I like those Zipps. Question: what kind of cranks are you running?

VA_Esquire 12-27-11 09:18 PM

I have to say meh....not really HOT nor NOT.....

Midget bikes with huge slopping tubes like that remind me of a kids bike. Also reminds me of a doctor/lawyer bike.

I think they are Lightning Cranks, but idk. Solo definitely has a 9/9.5 bike. All I would change about it is some deeper wheels, and delete the red.

I am pretty sure he is Asian. Be nice. ;) I personally like the smaller size S5s a lot better than the bigger ones. It needs a 606 wheelset, and it would be sweet.

VA_Esquire 12-27-11 09:24 PM

Yeah, the larger S5s look (if possible) uglier.

Very Hot = 9.5. Best bike in a while. That rig looks like it's made to ride fast and gap a pack of riders. I like the red and blue stripping, and the Fizik saddle goes well with the scheme. The Fizik bar tape shows good attention to detail (imo).

Well, I'm sorry that my genes have enslaved me to ride a kids bike. Then again, I think I would be considered a kid around here (not hard to figure out how old I am by my username).

Hot, 8.0.

Hot, 6.0. To score any higher, there would have to be fewer spacers. Also, I agree with the other poster that the red headset looks a little out of place.

Don't knock the "Dr. or lawyer" bikes as you call them. People who are willing to pay big dollars for a bike allow me to get what I need. Sort of like trickle down bike economics. :-)
