I recently posted pictures of my new Colnago C59Italia. I have owned the bike for a month now and have put nearly 600 miles on the bike (it would be higher mileage, but the Colnago shares riding time with the Bianchi and the Bottecchia).
I recently switched to Campy Eurus wheels and, for a little contrast, I changed the brake hoods from black to white. What do you guys think? Do the changes make the bike hotter or just the same? Thanks NOTE: The second set of pics is a bit crappy because I had to use my cellphone. My kid just borrowed my good camera. I wonder when I will see it again. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/8cce6353.jpg Right side with Ambrosio wheels and black brake hoods http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/4614d8c0.jpg Right side with Eurus wheels and white hoods http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/d3ba382b.jpg Left side with Ambrosio wheels and black brake hoods http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/ff922d56.jpg Left side with Eurus wheels and white hoods http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/740d7158.jpg Handlebars with black brake hoods http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/7efdef40.jpg Handlebars with white brake hoods |

The white hoods with black tape make me think of wingtips. Not everybody's cup of tea, but classy nonetheless.

I was just trying to channel Voeckler's C59 TdF bike (and his fighting spirit). http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...O/b551651f.jpg |

Not quite. The "proper" routing would have the cables going behind the bars, not in front of the bars.

Hot. The pedals and sensor are a little disturbing but the rest is "Super." ;) (Or is it a Mexico?)
Glad that I have something in common with The Cannibal. :D My C&V ride, a 1975 Bianchi Specialissima: http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/6...0/original.jpg Straight block 5-speed gets extra hotness points? http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/6...1/original.jpg I need to take some new photos of the bike as I've cleaned up the freewheel and found and bought long dropout adjustment screws. |

Well done, but really needs a flat black crankset ... :thumb:

DeRosa is a pretty frame...but not with Shimano & Easton overbranded rims.
