You might want to lose the reflectors and seat bag, then repost. You aren't going to like the answers you get from that picture.

The reflectors are already gone. Will remove the seat bag and take new picture.

Save you a little more grief. Chain in large front, small rear. Drive side crank facing forward (3:00 position), valve stems at 6:00. Finally, white garage door or at least a "flat" wall.

I pulled off the stock white soft tape on my CAAD10. It was so dirty after 2 rides. After installing the microtex (non soft touch) in white it barely shows any dirt after 2 months. I ride without gloves and it feels great. I would imagine it will last a long time at this rate.

Ok...redid the picture as noted ... Don't expect it to be considered HOT as it is not a super fancy high end bike. But I love it anyway.

Much better. I'll give it a "warm". :)

Hot.

I usually don't like gold chains (they kind of scream "GUIDO!!"), but this one goes well w/ the tan sidewalls.

bianchi10 04-23-12 07:07 PM

much better photo beachgrad. still not hot, but huge difference. Have you gotten a fitting yet? If you plan on doing some regular riding with it, I would include a fitting asap.

Would be hotter if the pedals weren't red and the bars weren't at a weird angle...

wow. those backup barz are kewl. also, no on the pedals and saddle

crank looks great though.

LowCel 04-23-12 07:15 PM

Everything is there to make that Scott a hot bike but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me. I think it is the angle of the photo and the screaming of the chain and derailleur being cross chained like that.

fa63 04-23-12 07:22 PM

That chain looks way too short. The frame and the wheels look good, though.

Finally replaced all of the vintage parts with modern ones. Still need a bottle cage though.

I'm nauseous...

with HEAT STROKE! I hate you for doing exactly what I wanted to do with a steel colnago... plus we both have same exact RB-1s... maybe we should be carbon frame buddies as well! haha!

Carbon, the final frontier. I really really want a carbon bike.

I concur. The Colnago is hot!

I get that this bike is not "hot" to you guys but i am super happy. Question? Does the picture indicate I haven't had a fitting? When I got it, I spent several hours at the LBS making adjustments after figuring out which frame felt "right" to me. Have put 113 miles on it so far (4 rides). I do plan on riding it a lot. :)

It is certainly a very nice bike even if it isn't necessarily "hot" to us. A bike doesn't have to be hot to be a nice bike and yours proves that. Your bike is setup to ride and to be comfortable, most "hot" bikes are not necessarily setup for a newer rider. The position that most of the hot bikes have the rider in would be miserable for most newer riders.

Appreciate the kind words. Truly tho was curious about the comment about a fitting being needed.

BTW I love looking at everyone's bikes especially the unique or classics. :thumb:

Maybe not the hottest but I really like it. I love the paint scheme. I have a feeling you're going to hate that white bar tape in the very near future. I have only had mine for a few weeks and I'm already swapping on some black tape.
