^ solid looking C-dale. The red nipples are a nice touch. Think I'll wait to post my Kirk Frameworks till after I get the stem swapped out and stop riding it long enough to setup for a proper photo with all the BF's approved checkboxes checked.

Running Zipps with little to no saddle-bar drop = not hot. I like the frame, I like the Zipps, but everything from there up and out is where this one falls apart for me. However, I thank you for posting a pic of that Fizik bag, I was thinking of getting one, I think not now.

It's cool. No hard feelings. I have short legs, so can't do much.

Besides riding the bike I have to look at it too you know, so it has to be pleasing both ways!! Screw the engineers and "know-it-all types with calculators and pocket protectors" LOL........

Your steerer is not supposed to sit flush with the stem, it has to be ~3mm below the top edge, for the top-cap to be able to preload the headset.

Great work of art Rob! You riding in the TdC this year? Definitely gotta check this thing out if you are. I'm flying solo this year so I can ride with the big boys and not feel bad about dropping any good friends.

I recently swapped my Fizik Arione for a Selle Italia Kit Carbino. The swap necessitated a saddle bag swap as I was using the Fizik ICS bag. I love the saddle, but I may be happier that I was forced to replace the saddle bag. I much prefer my new lezyne micro caddy.

That's a hottie you've got there. I've not liked the look of many of the deep wheel bikes I see here, but your bike is hot. I think it's the decals that make the wheels ugly. Zipps are the worst.

dissident 04-04-12 11:38 PM

honestly there aren't many bikes that I'd genuinely say are ugly... someone has to almost go out of the way to make it ugly before ugly comes to mind. There are generic ebay carbon bikes but even those aren't ugly, just plain. Some nice rides here. I'm not a fan of the hipster bikes though, I like the visual appeal, the sleekness and eloquence, of a road bike.

Is it just me or are shimano shifters hella huge compared to sram?

Is it me or is this frame / top tube too small for the rider? Look at the saddle set back!

I wouldn't just assume that the picture was taken with the bike fitted properly. You have no idea, if the rider just hopped of their bike or they just pulled it out of the back seat requiring to adjust the saddle and seat height. Besides that, too small is the "cool" trend on here. But it's not like his seat is jacked up or anything like that. The bike is definitely a small frame, but probably couldn't find any smaller without some major sacrifices.
