Hi,

If you're talking about my SuperSix, it's actually the latest Specialized S-Works CLP Multi Stem with an older (not old) 3T Rotundo Pro bar. The Specialized stem is very sturdy and a bit heavy, but I think the stem stiffness improves how the bike steers.

Can a commuter bike be hot?

disclaimer: this was my first bike build...I had a fun day installing and building this one up. I swaped out the 2012 Tiagra (now 10 speed :) ) triple to a SRAM Apex group. I've opted to go with the infamous compact crank + 11-32t cassette... you never know...(dirt, touring, travel, cyclocross.. ect..ect..).

tire clearances look to be huge.... its got the stock 28c installed right now... maybe in winter i can get some 35c tires or larger in there.

I really want to cut the steerer, but this bike will also be the one my brother or friends borrows when they visit and we go for a ride - so I'm most likely keeping some steerer length in there to keep options open.

With alot of fear, my latest build. Ultegra with 105 hubs. custom paint job.

Desertrats97 04-03-12 10:38 AM

YEP. a soft saddle. confort short distance ride.

X-LinkedRider 04-03-12 10:40 AM

Here is my commuter. I am pretty sure I have not posted it (in this thread) since the rebuild. The rebuild upgrades included Groupset (5700 Group Black), SuperiorLite Compact Double Crank, TRP Euro X Cantilever Brakes, Williams Fuzion M1's wrapped in Bontrager Race All Weather (700x28) and the obvious new cables/housing.
This is my Touring/Commuter bike which is why the 28 tires and Canti brakes. I have since added the Front/Rear Rack, Bottle Cages, Delphi 4 Comp and some USB LED lights.

sneaky... trying to pass off a hybrid as a road bike... Not

Not terribly fond of that old Raleigh or those weird things attached to the crank arms either.

Despite it having low end components That Redline is a nice looking ride.

Saddle no longer tilts back as far and it has a shorter black Deda Zero100 and pretty much at zero stack now one little spacer in there for some color :D
also my Garmin Edge 500 is on there now (not that it matters)
weights in at 7.5kg (16lb) with pedals and cages

G.S. Astuto is my friends brand here in Tokyo

If it's not hot, it's pretty sweet!
