I'll find out when I get a chance to weigh it. With the exception of the Revl brakes, the Sram red group, 3D+ crank, Enve cockpit and wheels were from my 2 month old built S5. The S5/56cm weighed in @ 15.5, with elite cages, look keo max pedals and the fsa garmin mount. I'm no ww, but I'll be impressed if the Noah weighs in lighter than the S5.

It could be staged a bit better. Looks like it rolled forward a centimeter or two, and the crank isn't level. It is a really beautiful bike however. I really like the Noah FB, except it has an awful paint job. This Noah however is one of the best paint jobs on a bike I've ever seen. Huge improvement over the S5, and if I remember correctly your S5 was pretty awesome.

The Noah FB was just a bit too much, almost $2k more over the Noah Pro. But the finish on several Ridley bikes I've seen, including my Noah are some of the best out there.

No, no, no...Just threw on some spare parts for you SA, since you called me out...She's getting the new Sram Red, Zipp stem and bars....give me a lttle time to fix her up. I will say one thing, this is a riding machine, stiff as any bike i've ever ridden...perfect! As of now, not ready for the HOT or NOT experts...;)

Gotcha. I feel the same way about my S2 and stiffness. That's what initially sold me on my SLC, well that and the aero frame. As for the new components. I vote for Vuka Sprints to keep it aero, and the SL Speed stem. I would of gotten the SL Speed, but it wasn't out in 130mm when I made the purchase. You are going to have to remove the Red paint from the Red parts. The Force looks so good on there keeping it all black and white.

Oh yeah, Whooshie. You're going to have to get one of these made once you figure out your fit.

I had a chance to finish the build yesterday afternoon. Took it out for a 25 mile ride and this bike was just meant to be. I didn't even have to trim the ISP, will probably add a 5mm spacer to raise it up a bit. It just feels better than my S5... quicker when off the saddle, responsive, quite possibly overall, a better bike.

Holy cr@p.

[please excuse me whilst I go change my underwear]

Finished this build yesterday! Can't wait to really ride it. I'm thinking of getting some bright colorful bar tape to keep it from being too black. What do you guys think?

Also hot.

Soloist Assassin 04-22-12 07:52 AM

Crackandfail needs black chainrings. Otherwise it looks great.

Close. I think the crank is keeping it from hotness.

I have all black at home. This was the tape that came with the bike. Replacing it once it wears out.

bianchi10 04-22-12 11:20 AM

Meh, that fizik micro tape lasts a long time. rip it off and slap on the black!

Unless it is the soft touch stuff. I was unimpressed with the longevity of the soft touch Fizik tape. I run the glossy black now, and it never wears out. That stuff rocks.

I agree. The soft touch stuff I put on my bike has been shredded in several areas. Feels good, but doesn't last a long time.

It was really comfortable, and grippy, though for the month or two it lasted.

I <3 Robots 04-22-12 08:02 PM

That Fizik stuff is super thin...might as well just use electrical tape.

bianchi10 04-22-12 08:31 PM

My fizik micro tape has lasted me nearly 8,000. Thats pretty good if you ask me.

BillyD 04-22-12 08:35 PM

8,000 . . . yeah that's good.

bianchi10 04-22-12 08:40 PM

Yeah I love it. still not much wear shown on them either. I will be replacing them with the same stuff for sure.

only place where it shows much wear is on the left drop where the tape was cut from a crash.
